UPDATING TPS/I UNIT
6797 Fronius Drive.

PURPOSE: TO EXPLAIN HOW TO UPDATE A TPS/I UNIT

/ Required items.
You will need the following items to successfully update your TPS/i unit.

1. Ethernet Cable (standard RJ45)


2. Computer (or laptop)
3. TPS/i unit (connected to power)
4. Latest Firmware file (www.tps-i.com)
STEP 1: VISIT WWW.TPS-I.COM

Select EN in the top right corner.


Select Parts & Features tab>>>Firmware>>>Download Firmware
STEP 2: DOWNLOAD FIRMWARE

Select the latest firmware, usually labeled (NEW)


STEP 3: INSTALL FIRMWARE

On the back of your power supply, you have a service port that looks like the image above.
Connect your Ethernet Cable (RJ45) to this port and allow 30sec to a min to elapse.
This will give the unit enough time to assign an IP address to the service port.

Select Defaults

Select System

Select Information

Locate IP Address
STEP 3: INSTALL FIRMWARE CONT‘D

Using your preferred web browser, enter the IP address.

You may get this screen, select continue, or proceed anyway


(depending on web browser)

This window will open. Username: admin, Password: admin

Your webpage will turn to this. This is Xplorer Basic for TPS/i

Select the Update Tab, and click Search update file.

Select the Firmware that was recently downloaded.

Click Update

When the update is completely downloaded to the unit, it will ask you to
restart the power source. Choose Yes.
STEP 3: INSTALL FIRMWARE CONT‘D

After restarting, your unit will open to the main screen. Following the previous
steps from the beginning. You can verify that your update was successful.
CONCLUSION: UPDATE SUCCESSFUL
