NURSING CARE PLAN: STOMACH CANCER

Nursing Diagnosis: Acute pain related to tumor growth as manifested by abdominal pain in LUQ
with a pain score of 8 out of 10, guarding behavior and verbalization of “Nasakit detoy buksit ko
nurse”
Nursing Inference
Pain could happen if the cancer grows into or destroys nearby tissue. As a tumor grows, it can
press on nerves, bones or organs. The tumor can also release chemicals that can cause pain. 
Nursing Goals: After 30mins-60 minutes of nursing intervention, the patient's perceived pain
will subside as evidenced by a pain score of 4, absence of guarding behavior and verbalization
of “Nasakit pela bassit buksit ko nurse”
Nursing Interventions
