Kieran Behan is a gymnast, who experienced removed a
cancerous tumor from his thigh at the age of 10 where
he suffered nerve damage and he was confined in a
wheelchair. After 15 months of perseverance, he was
back at the gym. But he slipped from the high bar and
sustained a terrible head injury. But he never gave
up and succeeded in becoming the Challenge World
Cup floor champion in 2011, and his greatest moment
of glory was when he qualified for the London 2012
Olympics. He had become an Olympic athlete after
being through terrible pain, trauma and setbacks.
Bethany Hamilton is a surfer from Hawaii who face a
terrible tragedy when a shark bit off her left arm. She
made two promises to herself. The first was that she
would not moan about her terrible misfortune and the
second was that she would get back on the surfboard.
After only 26 days, she was surfing again! She is now
ranked as among the top 50 female surfers in the
world. She also won first prize in the Explorer Women’s
Division of the NSSA National Championships.
Michael Phelps is an Olympian swimmer of all time, as a
child he suffered from ADHD disease. Most people
also have an incredible capacity to remain
hyperfocused on an activity they are passionate about.
Phelps has shown that he can beat the most disciplined
and strongest swimmers in the world and is an inspiring
example to anyone who suffers from a mental disorder
or other disability. He has another secret in that he uses
the power of visualizing success before he starts any
swim.

promises to praise the Lord, using a Hebrew phrase
which literally means "at every time." No matter what
the situation, David would praise God and what
motivates Him is the dangerous situation he faced.
Even in dire circumstances we can see His hand of grace
and mercy. He comforts us in our sorrow, and He helps
us withstand every adversity.

and thank God every morning of each day. God will
pour out His spirit to make wise decisions.
I witness this with my mother who always pray every
morning. I can see that God truly answers prayers.
