Our film is a mix of Fantasy, comedy and adventure.

We made this film at a time when there

was the stereotype of the Disney princess, which was the damsel in distress who needed to be
saved. We wanted something different, that showed the true strength of women and showed
a different perspective of love, where things are not perfect. That's how we did this story
where it's not a blue prince who saves the damsel in distress, sed he is an ogre. The damsel in
distress has to bring out her potential as a brave and warrior woman when she realized she
didn't get to be saved by the typical perfect prince. We knew that make this kind of movie
would be very risky at a time when society was too accepting of typical Disney princess. It is
important clarify that the film is based on a 1990 (one thousand nine hundred ninety) book
called Sherk. We wanted to take a risk, because we knew we had a good idea there, and we
added a lot of humor to the plot, so that would be the extra ingredient in the movie. So we
were taking a risk, but playing all our cards on it.

For the main cast, we chose Cameron Diaz for the voice of fiona, because she is an excellent
actress and she was top the actress at that time, because of movies like "the mask". We also
chose Mike Myers because his voice had everything we needed for Sherk. We knew that
Donkey was going to be a central character on the film and he was the one who would add the
comic touch, so we needed the best comedian of all, and who better than Eddie Murphy. Sherk
and Donkey's relationship was also very elaborate, because we needed their relationship with
full of humor. The set design of Far Far Away was based on the streets of Hollywood and
Beverly Hills. At the end, it took us more than four years to make the film, because we didn't
like the result we had with the stop motion film, so we did every single scene from the
computer. It was all worth it, because we won an Oscar for best animated film.
