The Voice of the City

 Plot

1.Exposition
The exposition of this story is started when the Narrator is
remembering about his past. The Narrator came to a question
about “what is the biggest voice of a big city?” and “what is the
voice of a big city” and the narrator set out on a quest to
finding the answer of his question

2.Rising Action
This event happened when the Narrator encounter with
Aurelia. He told her that every city have a different voice. And
they both goes on to a quest to find the voice that the Narrator
says, they found that individual voices are easy to discern but
the collective or masses voice of the city is not as simple to be
understood.

3. Climax
The climax of the story is started when the narrator is set to
find the voice of the city where he’s in, New York City when he
met a cop, a bartender, a poet, a newsboy and finally come
back to the park where he met Aurelia in the park and failed to
found the answer to the voice of the city

4. Resolution
The resolution is happened when the Narrator has failed to
tried to get the answer and return to the park where he sits
there for a while, on that location he found the answer of his
question. Then he comes straight to Aurelia had been sitting
and both of them stay silence for thirty minutes before Aurelia
said to him that he hasn’t said a word.Then he said “That is the
Voice of the City”

This story is revolve around the New York City in 1929 more
specific the place they wrote are Broadway, the bar and the
park

 Point of view
This story is using first person point of view, where we as the
reader is taken into the writer view of the event in the story.
