The term "basic" refers to the most basic and pure sort of inquiry. This style of asking is
prompted by the researcher's natural curiosity or enthusiasm for a topic. They desire to learn
more about a subject and then pass that knowledge on to others. In other words, they're looking
for knowledge solely for the purpose of learning, not to add financial value or invent something

biology. Any question that warrants an answer to generate better understanding of a topic is basic
research. Basic Research this research is to generate a body knowledge by trying to comprehend

aiming immediate problem.

in the real world. The applied science researcher identifies a societal need and works to address
it. Applied research can involve things like developing new ways to obtain the same output while
using less nonrenewable resources, curing an illness, or inventing a new kind of technology to
make a process more efficient. Applied research has a higher commercial value than basic
research since it has the ability to solve a problem. Governments and companies are increasingly
interested in applied research because of the potential for financial advantage. Applied Research
