1. Think of your moral beliefs that you have held on from childhood but come to question when you
grew older. What were your sources for your beliefs? What made you question these beliefs as you
mature in life?
Answer:
My Childhood things that I remember that I used to believe in if you started starving a watermelon
and other plant/fruits then if you accidentally swallowed a seed of a plant, then that plant starting growing
inside of your body. Another one, I used to believe that actors in movies went by their real name and then
when they were in another movie and then their name was different and I used to believe people who died
in movies actually died. And Lastly, I used to believe that the moon follow us. These are my silly beliefs in
my childhood that the source of all beliefs is my sister because she loves making nonsense jokes to
everyone. When I’m getting matured I answer a lot of curiosity that comes into my mind when I was a
child. Like swallowed a watermelon seed and starting growing inside a body this is not true because it may
digested fast and watermelon seeds completely safe to swallow and then actually have many health benefits.
The actor in movies have a real life/personality and if an actor really wants to look dead with not mistakes
guaranteed, then sure, hold your breath and if you ever notice, then don’t put dead people on screen for very
long. Then lastly, the moon appears to follow us because it is very far away. This means that the moon
appears in basically the same angular position with the same angular size. Answering this question means
getting clear on what matters, our values and principles. Our values are the things we hold to be good and
therefore care about most deeply. We don’t just need to know what’s good; we need to know what’s right.
Our principles they determined the acceptable ways of getting what we value. Your beliefs affect your
choices we need to think, what is right or wrong in every situational we faced it.

2. Cite specific socio-political issues in our society today. Which among these would you consider as
moral issues? Explain
Answer:
There are problems in the socio-political aspects in the society nowadays. Included in these
problems are the poverty, teenage pregnancy, corruption, and lack of education/training/system, which will
discipline people from immoral behaviours, scarcity on the part of school, churches, and government
institution to teach good moral characters to the people. Here are the main moral issue in the society.
Political Corruption is the use of power by government officials for an illegitimate private gain. We can
fight corruption by ways of Bribery, create pathways that give citizens relevant tools to engage and
participate in their government, organize a committee to count and keep track of public supplies such as
school textbooks. Teenage Pregnancy also known as adolescent pregnancy, are global problem but occur
most often in poorer and marginalised communities. To prevent teenage pregnancy do religious moral and
ethics and attending some programs for prevention. Increasing of Unemployment is caused by various
reasons that come from both the demand side, or employer and the supply side or the worker. This means
they have lack of confidence or low of self-esteem to find job to sustain their family. To stop this must
better Education, Motivation Programs, Fight Discrimination, Support program for mental issues and fight
structural unemployment. Lack of Education can be defined as a state where people have a below average
level of common knowledge about basic things that they would urgently need in their daily life. To solution
this may increase in Quality regarding social security, Better Education Infrastructure and Financial
support. In our society we suffer poverty it is everybody’s problem generally scarcity, dearth or state of one
who lacks a certain amount of materials possessions or money and to the lack of means necessary to meet
basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter. But the solutions are increase employments, support pay
equity, raise minimum wage and create jobs.
All of these as a result of lack of financial, Education, Leadership and implemented of Good Moral
character and code of ethics. May all people teach how to do right and good to the people even there’s a lot
of struggles that encounter in our society especially in this Pandemic that we fight for, may our politicians
do their Jobs in a right path not in corrupted situation. The good news is the subject of good moral character
including bible reading in schools, house and offices is being proposed.

3. Do you consider the Bible or religion as a basis of morality? Since morality tells us that it is wrong
to kill, what can you say about Abraham sacrificing his own son Isaac to God? Is Abraham morally
liable?
Answer:
Yes, Bible or religion as a basis morality to the fact that are closely connected with each other.
What is good is also willed by God. The fulfilment of God’s will and the performance of moral actions,
therefore, are two aspects of the same process. Abraham recognized the presence of the Lord because he
trusted and Fearful to the God Commandments. God made a covenant with Abraham, telling him to leave
his own country and promising to give his family to the land of Canaan. This was the Promised Land. God
promised to maintain the covenant with Abraham’s son Isaac. Then, after many years, God tested Abraham
to sacrificing his only Son Isaac by offering. Abraham obediently follows what God’s ordered to him
placed Isaac on an altar and took a knife to kill him. Then the angel of the Lord appeared and told Abraham
spare is son because Abraham had tested his FAITHFUL and have a LOYALTY to God. Abraham has no
morally liable because he follow what God command to him and his only Son are alive, he didn’t killed his
own son because God tested Abraham’s Faith and it is proven. Abraham was a good person and he never
made a wrong decision because God is always obeying on him.
