Job Interviews in English | English Language Learning Tips …

Let's practice! Complete the dialogue with vocabulary from this lesson:
A: Good Morning! How can I help you?

B: Good morning. You called me yesterday to tell me about an interview  appointment for today.

A:Oh, yes. Now I remember. You are Mrs. Schmidt.... Yes, we called you because your  resume  is impressive. You are qualified for

this  job  .

B: I am not sure what the job is about. Can you explain it?

A: Off course. We are looking for a  dentist  in our clinic. The last doctor had to leave the city and our patients are asking
for appointments. Are you interested?

B: Mmmm, I don't know. I am currently working as a  teacher  at the University and my schedule is hard. My students at the
dentist school count on me.

A: You can take the night shift and you won't have to leave your current job.
B: That would be great.

A: Excuse me Mrs. Schmidt, by any chance, do you know a good  secretary  ? Mine is really sick and nobody is answering the phone
and organizing my meetings.

B: I know someone who can help you. I'll ask for her  CV  and I'll send it to your e mail. Is that ok?

A: I could work with a  receptionist  too. They have similar responsibilities at a company.

B: Yes, they both answer the phone and may set appointments and meetings... Can I ask you something?

A: Please.
B: What is your job here at the clinic?

A: I keep all the finances and the records. I am the  accountant  .

B: And you are in charge of all the interviews?

A: Yes, I am. Please Mrs. Schmidt, bring your documents as soon as possibble to get the contract and start. We really need you.

B: Thanks for the opportinity. Please, do not forget to set the   interview  with the secretary's CV I'll send you later.
