TRANSCRIPT: “MY ANSWER: THE EVANGELIST’S

INTEGRITY”

Billy Graham: The same principles that guided evangelists of the past are the
same today—are the basic principles. I think that one has to be of study and
knowledge of the Scriptures, and prayer, and getting as many people to pray
as you possibly can. I think there needs to be integrity. We've had several
people in this country that have been called evangelists who are—many of
them were not evangelists, they were pastors, and we're seeing almost every
week or two, someone is falling morally in the Catholic and the Protestant
churches. I think the evangelist of all people needs to have total integrity. He
needs to have integrity in his personal life and his morals. He needs to have
integrity in his finances. He needs to have total integrity in his whole life, so
that he doesn't even do anything that's called—we could call the appearance
of evil.

and encourage with great patience and careful instruction. 1
