How to use the IED order specific files Revision: A
PST and CAP 531 Instructions 2009-04-28

1. Preparations
Together with this document you should have a zip-file necessary for off-line adjustment
of terminal options. It is recommended that you unzip this file in a separate directory
with the same name as the zip-file (e.g. on the floppy drive as A:\10087831100).
This way you have a unique storage location for these files that you will easily locate
from CAP 531 and PST.

2. Terminal options in CAP 531

The Terminal options command is available for some terminal types.

Run Terminal Options in the Edit menu. The terminal options can be imported for offline
engineering if the terminal options are available in a file. Import the file from a
diskette, or browse the disks for its current location.

3. Off-line adjustment of terminal options in PST

For efficient off-line engineering it is possible to adjust the function library to exact
reflect the functions delivered in the terminal without having to upload options from
the terminal.

In the next dialog select the opf-file corresponding to the terminal.
