INTRODUCTION
• Th- main aim of our proj-ct is to sav- tim-
and
-n-rgy. In –arli-r days writing is don- on land,
slat-,walls and chalk boards. It is impossibl-
to sp-nt always in cl-aning th- board. Inst-ad
of this w- can us- automatic board cl-an-r.
PROBLEM
• Tim- consuming
• Man pow-r is n—d-d to cl-an it.
• Dificulty in di-rntially abl-d p-opl-.
SOLUTION
• Th- main solution for abov- m-ntion-d
probl-m is d-signing an automatic board
cl-anr which could b- us-d without man
pow-r.
MATERIALS REQUIRED
• Sprock-t
• Sprok-t with b-aring
• Guid- rail
• Guid- rail wh—ls
• Dust-r with conn-cting rod
• -l-ctric control-rs
• Arduino Uno microcontroll-r
CONSTRUCTION
BODY DESIGN
• It is a moving d-sign , wh-r- majority mad-
up of wood du- to its cas- of fabrication and
availability.stainl-ss st—ls ar- also us-d in
this d-sign.
• Compon-nts us-d ar- board,motor stand,
sprockts, chains and dust-r.
• All th-s- compon-nts ar- hous-d by a top
cov-r.This cov-r has a in-d surfac- clos- to
th- motor.
• Dust-r is mad- of fib-r. Th- d-sign is such
that th- bas- of th- dust-r will hav- a roll-r
which will –nabl- th- dust-r to mov- aross
th- dust-r whil- cl-aning.
• To cl-an th- board smoothly a brush o b-tt-r
quality has b—n us-d. It is attatch-d to th-
brush hold-r and brush hold-r is attatch-d
to th- fib-r hand us-d.
• A rail is run through th- both sid-s o board
in which th- b-arings ar- mad- to run.
SYSTEM DESIGN
• It consists of DC s-rvo motors, arduino uno,
AC to DC conv-rt-rs,conn-cting wir-s,
chains and sprock-t.
• Arduino uno is us-d which is a micro
controll-r board us-d for programming.
• Motor driv-r of L293D IC mod-l is us-d
which is monolithic intgrat-d , high voltag-,
high currn-nt,4 chann-l driv-r
WORKING
• Th- s-rvo motor which runs at r-lativ- low
sp—d. It is a DC motor and an AC to DC
conv-rt-r is us-d to conv-rt th- supply voltag-.
• Wh-n th- switch is turn-d on , curr-nt is
transmitt-d to conv-rt-rs.A dc supply of 18 v
pass-s through arduino.
• It r-ci-v-s th- signal coming from th- arduino
and chang- th- polarity of motor, for which
dir-ction of motor chang-s.
• Arduino is programm-d such that motor
rotat-s in both clockwis- and anti clockwis-
dir-ction.rotat-s clockwis- for s-c and
anticlockwis- or s-c.
• Th- variabl- voltag- suppl is us-d to r-duc- th-
amount of voltag- going in to th- motor h-
nc- slowing down th- sp—d
• Curr-nt is th-n pass-d to motor which driv-s
th- shaft.
• This shaft is conn-ct-d to sprock-t and driv-
s it h-lp o k-yway.
• Th-shaft driv-s th- sprock-t , th- dust-r
which is attatch-d to th- roll-r chain cl-ars
th- board in a translatory mann-r.In this op-
ration ,th-r- is convrsion from rotor motion
to translatory motion.
• Onc- th- dust-r g-ts to –ith-r –nds of th-
board , it stops . This is don- by th- h-lp of
programm-d adruinno board

ADVANTAGES
• Its construction is simpl- and r-quir- lss
maintainanc-.
• Low cost
• Portabl- in siz- and –asily transportabl-.
• L-ss manual work
• Tim- saving proj-ct
• Us-ful in coll-g- and school applications.
SCOPE FOR IMPROVEMENT
• Inst-ad of using switch, r-mot- can b- us-d
• For controlling w can us- sound s-nsors.
• Using motors micro controllrs -.t.c

CONCLUSION
• As conclusion , Th- automatic cl-aning
whit- board machin- was d-sign and
fabricat-d using low cost mat-rial and us-r
ri-ndly int-rfac-.
