SOCIAL MEDIA GOOD OR BAD?

About 40% of the world's population uses digital social media, and it is
estimated that every person spends two hours a day in social networks.

Business professionals tell us that social media is the best way to do business,
by in contrast some psychologists in recent studies tell us that social networks
are addictive and can damage our self-esteem.

In my opinion, I agree with both ideas, social networks are not bad, they depend
a lot of the use that people give them, for example, some specialists tell us that
the brain generates dopamine which gives us a feeling of happiness and joy
when we use these applications. This is taken advantage of by employees of
Facebook and other social networks, who use algorithms to make young people
more addicted.

I disagree with this use of social media that tries to take advantage of the
behavior of the youngest, other specialists tell us that social networks are a
stage of our life. I agree with this statement, to avoid future regrets such as If
only I’d done more of the things I enjoy when I was a teenager, dependence on
social networks is also not uncommon. Many young and sometimes not always
young people spend whole days in social networks without going out into the
real world with real conversations, with a real environment.

Facebook and Instagram are my favorite social networks, I use them to relax,
distract myself, communicate with my friends, to look at recipes, fashion trends,
makeup, decorations, news, follow my favorite artists, videos, memes, Thanks
to social networks, people can communicate with relatives over great distances,
send them e-cards, hearts, congratulate them on their birthday and always stay
close to them.

For many people, social networks have become their work, for example, radio
presenters, bloggers, musicians and others, But ideas like if I had more
followers, I could leave school and be an influencer or youtuber, are on the
minds of the youngest of this generation. I am disagree with that, Fame is
something ephemeral and in the future they will surely wish they had finished
school or university.

In conclusion, I think that it depends a lot on the use that each person thinks of
it, some will use it for good things, others for bad things. we can conclude that
social networks can be harmful if they are used too much.
