ShareLife 2011 Families Preparing for Confirmation
Working wonders for single & teen parents…
When Janelle came to Rosalie Hall, a ShareLife agency, she
was a young, single mother suffering from a decade-old
abusive relationship. Emotionally unstable and with low
esteem, she was relying on Employment Insurance to live.
Rosalie Hall helped Janelle regain her strength and
independence. Today, hoping for a brighter future for her
and her child, she has left the abusive relationship she was
in and is studying to be a social worker.
In 2009, ShareLife agencies provided help to more than
11,000 young people – offering counselling to 1,964
pregnant youth and young mothers.

and respite care programs for children and youth with
multiple disabilities and complex medical needs.

Pauline Book & Media Fair

Our Parish Community will be having a Pauline Book &
Media Fair brought to us by the Daughters of St. Paul.
They will be here next Sunday, May 8th. Everyone is
invited to browse and purchase from an excellent selection
of Catholic Books, music CDs, and DVD movies, from the
Pauline Book & Media Centre in Toronto. This would be
a wonderful opportunity to get something inspirational to
read, watch, or listen to, for the Easter/Spring Season and
to help you on your spiritual journey. You can familiarize

Beatification of Pope John Paul II
This Weekend - Sunday, May 1st
Beatification is a significant milestone in the ongoing
process for sainthood, the final step prior to canonization.
For beatification, a miracle attributed to the candidate for
sainthood must be proven. In the late pontiff’s case, the
remarkable recovery of a French nun with Parkinson’s
disease was deemed a miracle. From now on, he will be
referred to as Blessed John Paul II. To be canonized, a
second miracle attributed to his intercession will need to be
authenticated.

Benedict XVI’s message in the post-synod apostolic
exhortation. Verbum Domini has three main sections: The
God Who Speaks; The Word of God in the Church; The
Church’s Mission to Proclaim the Word of God to the
World. This lecture is for anyone who wants to learn an
authentically Catholic approach to the Bible and how to
