Install Survey123 for ArcGIS on Desktop/Laptop

Purpose
To get you up and running on desktop/laptop (Windows or macOS) so you can submit a form. The user is
required to have visited the USPL OneMap Cloud site in advance mapping their credentials.
Steps for First Time Setup
1. Download and Install the Survey123 for ArcGIS app:

a. Note: Do not download Survey123 Connect or Survey123 for website. Only download
Survey123 field app.
2. Ensure the device is connected to the BP corporate network.
3. Windows machine, select Windows x86
a. Apple Macs, select macOS

2. On the bottom of your screen select ‘Save and Run’ in the drop down.
3. Survey123 for ArcGIS will open a prompt.
1. Click Next

4. Hit Next to accept the default file path for the installation.
5. Toggle On the I accept the license
a. Click Next

6. Hit Next on the Accept the Start Menu Short Cuts

7. Install the application

8. The executable will begin the installation

9. Check your desktop for the Survey123 Icon after installation

*KNOWN ISSUE: After Survey123 for ArcGIS installation, if you receive install error related to a missing ‘dll’
for ‘Visual C++Redistributable for Visual Studio’, please visit the web site below and click on download. You
will then be prompted to choose a download please select the highlighted below. Download and Install
vc_redist.x64.exe

Afterwards Survey123 will work on your machine.
