ENVIRONMENT In lieu of online recitation, kindly write a statement or opinion about beautification of one state while the other is being destroyed.
Or embracing modern beautification of certain place like Manila Bay,
road widening or a modern facility in the forest.
Beautification is the process of improving a location's look and aesthetics,
whereas rehabilitation is the action of returning a damaged location to its previous state while also improving the area's environment's health. Although the beautification of Manila Bay has improved the bay's look, the sand's material, dolomite, poses a serious threat to marine life and Filipinos, as it can harm their health and the environment. Although the attractive appearance of the white sand used in the beautifying project may appear to attract more tourists, the crushed dolomite used in the sand might cause severe discomfort, particularly in the respiratory system, when inhaled, driving tourists away. Heavy elements such as mercury, lead, and aluminum are abundant in crushed dolomite, contributing to pollution and acidity in Manila Bay's waters. The pollution and acidity in the sand can harm marine life by causing stress in the fish that live beneath the surface, which can weaken their immune systems and cause them to perish. Fishermen will have a harder difficulty capturing fish if these species continue to die, which could lead to a reduction in the economy and industry. Flooding would most likely occur in the event of typhoons (which are highly common in our nation), as a result of the enormous amount of water delivered by the rain, which might overflow the bay and produce flooding in the areas surrounding Manila Bay. Flooding may also inflict catastrophic damage to nearby businesses, infrastructure, and towns, necessitating additional financial assistance and rehabilitation.
