TOPIC: Color Harmonies

GRADE LEVEL: 4

OBJECTIVES:

(K) identify color harmonies

(S) enumerate the 4 types of color harmony

(A) appreciate color aesthetics in indigenous arts

ACTIVITY: This activity is called “Wish Wish Wish .” Since its October and the Christmas is near, you are
going to draw things that you want to receive this coming Christmas. Then you will color it using colors
that can be found on color wheel. After that, identify what type of color harmony is that. I’ll group you
into four.

ASSESSMENT: The class will have a quiz about 4 types of color harmony.

The reason why it is a learner centered approach because it lets the learners to do whatever they want.
In the activity above, the learners have the freedom to draw whatever they want this coming Christmas
and they will be the one to color using the color wheel. They can discover and identify the different
colors by their own with the guidance of the teacher. In this topic, the teacher will just guide his/her
learners and the students will do all the work.
