INTRODUCTION
• STEM is short for Science, Mathematics, TECHNLOGY and ENGINEERING
• Fourth Industrial Revolution is making almost every one a custodian of
technology.
• We cannot ignore the education needs of the 4th Industrial Revolution
• 65% of Children entering school today will work in jobs that do not exist
• Required skills for the future have been identified
• STEM education can deliver on these skills (with arts and humanities)
• All careers will be affected and need to get the right training starting now
• Target is the age group between 4 and 16yrs (Lots of opportunity for and
entrepreneur)

• Low quantity of STEM teachers
• Only Science and Maths is being taught in most cases

• STEM education is crucial to future skill requirements
• Opportunities exist for Entrepreneurs to exploit this gap
• Private STEM schools

• Government needs to create enabling environment for entrepreneurs to
participate fully in STEM education
