plans. During this there are several communicable diseases and newly discovered diseases too. Epidemics and
pandemics are the crisis faced globally and decreasing mortality as soon as possible. Health is a fundamental human
right and a key indicator of sustainable development. Poor health threatens the rights of children to education, limits
economic opportunities for men and women and increases poverty within communities and countries around the world.
In addition to being a cause of poverty, health is impacted by poverty and strongly connected to other aspects of
sustainable development, including water and sanitation, gender equality, climate change and peace and stability. The
world has faced epidemic and pandemic like Malaria, HIV, Ebola virus etc. WHO’s duty is to ensuring healthy lives and
promoting well-being at all ages is essential to sustainable development. The eradication of poverty is one of the
primary goal and target for achieving amicable Sustainable Development Goals amongst economies for which poverty
eradication has become the greatest challenge, which needs to be tackled for the least developed countries

The consequences of current pandemic – COVID-19 crisis strongly depend on the structure of each economy. depth of
the effects on economies will depend on the ability of governments to make decisions with effective potential, to
implement them diligently and systemically their performance to make adjustments if necessary. There are, however,
analytical constants, which make it possible to identify profiles of economic consequences.

Some of the measures already taken like; In the Republic of Congo, the population will have to endure further lockdown
as the country finds ways in curbing the spread of coronavirus. The government has officially made the wearing of
facemasks in public places compulsory. The capital, Brazzaville, will undergo an orderly lifting of lifting of lockdown
measures effective. Healthcare system of DR Congo has long struggle to deal with the measles, cholera and Ebola
epidemic that have killed thousands of people. The president declared a state of emergency by closing the country’s
borders while official trying to contain yet another crisis the mounting threat of COVID-19 is adding further pressure to
many living in the country. The health workers are cleaning up a government building where several people including a
government minister tested positive for the virus. On the demand side, the loss of income opportunities could lead to a
contraction of consumption due to the elasticity of the country's food demand to income. Similarly, risk aversion (fear of
contagion) could exacerbate the effect on food consumption, by reducing visits to centers of consumption or markets
food. Finally, it is possible to observe a change in purchasing methods with the drop in attendance at restaurants and
other food sales areas. The following actions are inter-linked, relevant and applicable in the context of current situation:

I . Systematically check all suspected cases to ensure early detection of the infection and to trace the
infection as far as possible, and prevent contact between infected patients and the healthy population.
II. Create an emergency fund to increase social protection, in particular by targeting informal workers
who do not have social protection and who may be strongly affected by the crisis.
III. Work with local communities and entrepreneurs to design a government approach beyond the health
crisis and solutions for containment and treatment of the local context.
IV. Intensify programmatic actions for mothers confirmed or suspected of COVID-19 and isolate them at
home for carry on the practice of foods recommended for infants and young children with the necessary
hygienic precautions.
V. Increase agricultural production and improve the value chains food for reply at the national
consumption. CAR is spending a great deal on food imports, part of which could be reinvested in
