Why Haier Is Reorganizing Itself around the Internet of Things
Haier Group was established in 1984, they are focused on providing solution to
the better life. Haier is headquartered in Qingdao, China and providing
consumer electronics and home appliances to its customers.

Mission Statement
To improve the quality of life, focusing on customer's needs.

Vision Statement
We at Haier aim to do is to start with the needs of consumers and transform
ourselves from a product manufacturer to a service provider.

External Factors
Technological Change
The article is all about the impact of technology and behavior of businesses
shifting from brand name to platform orientation where they create link their
businesses. The new emerging technology which is said to be internet of things
IoT is the connection of different devises, sensors and use of artificial
intelligence is what will make the enterprises to compete in it. Many other
companies are ahead in the internet economy. As the emerging technology of
IoT need sensors for working out and Haier is investing in making of sensors
for monitoring the behavior of users. However, that technology change has
great influence on Haier.
