The beauty of the nature

“Nature is painting for us, day after day, pictures of infinite beauty.” ― John Ruskin

Natural wonders come in all shapes and sizes. From China's Tianzi mountains to the
Verdon Gorge in France, there are incredible places all over the planet.

An inspiration for the alien characters in James Cameron's "Avatar", the Tianzi
Mountains in China are made up of very tall rock towers that are three hundred million years
old. Forests grow around and even on top of the peaks.

Located in the Indian Ocean, the island of Socotra (Yemen) has a tree species that is found
nowhere else on the planet: the dragon's blood trees. Their canopies look like flying saucers.
Waitomo Glowworm Caves in New Zealand is home to thousands of twinkling glow
worms. Visitors can silently glide through the caves by gondola.

The bubble-gum pink Lake Hillier in Australia is a mystery. Scientists believe that it is
caused by specific algae in the lake, as well as a pink bacteria, known as halobacteria. The lake
sits on Middle Island that is used only for research purposes and can only be viewed by
helicopter.
Lake Nakuru, Kenya, is home to rhinos, hippos, waterbucks, and buffalo. Gorgeous Lake
Nakuru sits in a national park famous for its epic bird-watching, especially its bright pink
flamingos.

The Maldives' Bioluminescent Beaches light up the night sky. It is the result of
bioluminescent plankton.

Jeju Island in South Korea is known for its spectacular lava tubes - caves formed by
cooling lava.

Verdon Gorge in the south of France is famous for its turquoise waters. The Verdon
Gorge's blue-green waters are a picturesque setting for activities such as swimming or kayaking.

Nature is splendid, beginning from the tiny butterflies and flowers to mountains and
beaches. And there are so many places on Earth that never fail to impress us. But if we open our
eyes and look around for a while, we will start seeing the infinite beauty of nature in the simple
things around us because, as Plato once said, beauty lies in the eye of the beholder!
We can’t live without nature. The beauty of nature keeps us alive and happy. So, I
believe it is high time for us to start appreciating and protecting nature!
