Define Moods and Emotions?

Emotions are intense feeling that are direted at someone or something

They are a psychological and physiological response that puts one in a


state of readiness

They are usually nonconcious

Moods are feelings that are weaker than emotions but lack a contextual
stimulus

What are the types of Emotions?

High Activation, Negative Emotions

Distress

Fear

What are the differences between Attitudes and Emotions?

Attitudes are judgements based of concious logical reasoning about something.

Emotions are brief events that happen non-conciously

What is Cognitive Dissonance?


This is an emotional response to incongruent befiefs and feelings

What is Emotional Labour?

This is the effort, planning and control required to express organizationally desired
emotions. The levels of display varies across cultures E.g expressed emotions are
discouraged in ethopia and japan while expected in spain and kuwait

What is Emotional Intelligence?

This is the ability of an individual to perceive, understand and manage the emotions
of oneself and others
