Before I present the hand signals for the violations committed by the players on the
badminton match video, let me first discuss different badminton hand signals and what they
signify. First, unnecessary delay in service. A fault occurs when a server takes an excessive
amount of time to serve or delays service for undue reasons. The second signal is for serving
violation. When serving, the racket handle should be facing down. The third is also about
serving violations. A fault occurs when the player strikes the shuttle above the waist. Fourth,
the server's foot should not touch any other court lines while serving, and both feet should be
on the ground firmly. Fifth—this signal is used when the shuttle lands outside the court lines.
Lastly, when the shuttle lands inside the court's lines this hand signal is the one being used.

Now, let's go over some of the game's violations and their appropriate hand signals. The
shuttle landed outside the court during the first set committed by the Singaporean player. The
proper hand signal for this is to raise both arms to the side. The second violation is when the
shuttle has landed with the court's parameters on the Philippine's side. Thus, the hand signal
should be raising one arm to the front and pointing fingers at the court line. As the game
progressed to the second round, the shuttle from the Singapore players landed outside the
court. With this, raising both arms to the side is the appropriate hand signal. A player from
Singapore had the next violation when the shuttle was over her waist while serving. As a result,
the fault was called by the referee. This violation is conveyed by extending an arm to chest level
and pointing it to the side. Another violation occurred when a player from the Philippines struck
the shuttle and landed inside the court of the Singaporeans’ side. Hence, the signal is given by
lifting one arm in front, pointing to the court line. A violation occurred during the last match
when the shuttle landed outside the court, from Singapore's side to Philippines’s. The proper
indication for this is to raise two arms to the side. Near the end of the game, a player from the
Philippines served with the shuttle above her waist. This violation is shown by raising an arm at
the chest level and pointing fingers to the side.
