Objectives:

The Course intends to introduce students to the competition law framework in India through the
Competition Act, 2002, case laws, and notifications issued by the Competition Commission of
India. It also intends to bring in concepts of the European Union and United States, where
appropriate, to enable a comparison between the competition law regimes of these countries. All
through, the course will discuss concepts of economics that support the idea of preserving
competition in order to emphasise on the positive relationship between competition and
economic growth.
