1 Overview
This chapter explains how to set up and manage OLT/ONU by web,mainly includes:
➢ OLT Maintenance: System reboot, settings backup, configuration save,configuration restore ,
software upgrades, login account management and so on.
➢ Network Configuration: Manage IP address configuration, configure static ARP, and set host
routes.
➢ Trunk:Configure static aggregation and dynamic aggregation.
➢ Port Management: Set admin State, speed, duplex, auto negotiation, flow control and other
parameters of the ports.
➢ VLAN Setting: Create VLAN, set IP address, network mask,gateway of VLAN,the vlan parameters
of the port..

1.1 WEB Connection

1.1.1 Log in

Please set fixed IP address of your computer as :192.168.20.XXX:(XXX is 2~253).And the subnet
mask is 255.255.255.0.The default IP address of the OLT is 192.168.20.1.Just type 192.168.20.1 in the
address bar of your web browser, then click <Enter>. The Log In dialog box appears.

Select Role: You can log in using the default username(admin) and password(admin).click the "Login"
button, and you will enter the WEB management home page.
Note:
The default password of the OLT is set at the factory. You can also change the password in the System
Configuration -> User Management page of the OLT. If the OLT is restored to factory settings, the
default password admin will be restored.

1.1.2 WEB Management Home

After Login,the following screen shows the default layout.

1.1.3 WEB Timeout

If there is no action to the web management page for more than 5 minutes, you will log out
automatically .If you want to continue operating, please log in again.

1.1.4 Logout

Click menu “Logout” , you can quit the Web setting page.

2 System Configuration

2.1 Basic Information

Select menu "System Configuration -> Basic Information", the host information and product
information will be displayed as shown in the figure, where the host information can be edited and
modified.

➢ Product Model: The name of the device.


➢ Product Name: Refers to the name of the software system.
➢ Software Version: The version information currently in use.
➢ Baud Rate: 115200
➢ MAC Adress:The device MAC address.

2.2 Running State

Select the menu "System Configuration -> Running State" to view the Running Time, CPU Usage and
Memory Usage.

2.3 User Management

You can change the password by selecting the menu "System Configuration -> User
Management".

2.4 File Management

2.4.1 Current Version

Select the menu "System Configuration -> File Management" to view the current version.

2.4.2 Version Upgrade

Through a firmware upgrade, you can load the latest software version to the OLT equipment to get
more features and more stable performance.
1.Select the menu "System Manage -> Upgrade Manage," click "Browse" button, select the need to
upgrade the software.
2.Click "Start Upgrade" button to begin the upgrade.
3.After waiting a while, the system returns the following page, click "Reboot System" button to restart
the device to complete the upgrade.
Note:
Do not power off during the upgrade process, otherwise may cause OLT device is not working properly.

2.4.3 Upload configuration file

Select the configuration file you want to upload, click Browse here, select Local File, and click Upgrade

to update the configuration.

2.4.4 Download configuration file

Click Download to download the current configuration file.

2.4.5 Download running configuration file

Click Download to download the current running configuration file.

2.4.6 Save all configuration

Click Save to save your current configuration.

2.5 System Time

Select the menu "System Configuration -> System Time", modify the system time, and click "Modify" to
save the current configuration of the OLT.

2.6 Ping Diagnostics

In the ip address box, enter the ip address that needs to be pinged, as shown below: Enter
192.168.10.100, and then click Start.

The result is that the ip address 192.168.10.100 can be pinged.

2.7 Log Information

When the web implements some configuration or operation, it is recorded in the log output.

2.8 Restore to factory setting

Select the menu "System Configuration ->Restore to factory setting " and click "Recover" to restore the
factory settings of the OLT.

NOTE:You need to manually restart the device to make the restore take effect.

2.9 Device Reboot

Select the menu "System Configuration ->Device Reboot", you can check whether to save the current
configuration, and click "Reboot" to manually restart the OLT device.

2.10 Logout

Select the menu "System Configuration -> Logout", click "Logout" to exit the OLT WEB end and return
to the login interface.

3 Network Configuration

3.1 Management IP address configuration

Select the menu "Network Configuration -> Manage IP Address Configuration". On this page, you can
modify the IP address required to log in to the OLT.

After entering the IP address, click "Modify" to take effect.

3.2 Static ARP

There are two different ARP entries in the ARP table, one is static ARP and the other is dynamic ARP.
➢ Static ARP is an ARP entry configured by the user. The system does not automatically refresh and
delete the system. You need to manually complete the ARP entry.
➢ Dynamic ARP is automatically generated by the system based on the received ARP request or
response packet. The system automatically creates and deletes the ARP.
➢ Real-time update and maintenance, without user intervention, but you can manually delete
dynamic ARP entries.

The steps for configuring static ARP are as follows:


Step1: Enter the IP address;
Step2: Enter the MAC address.
Step3: Click “Add” to configure the success.

Step4: Select the IP address and click “Delete” to delete the dynamic ARP or static ARP.

3.3 Host Routing

Select the menu "Network Configuration -> Host Routing", on this page you can set the host route.

The steps to configure static routing are as follows:

Step1: Enter the destination IP address.

Step2: Enter the next hop IP address;

Step3: Click “Add” to configure the success.

Step4: To delete, check the host route and click “Delete” to complete.

4 Trunk

4.1 Static Aggregation

Select the menu "Port Aggregation -> Static Aggregation", on this page you can configure a static
aggregation group.

The steps to configure a static aggregation group are as follows:


Step1: Check the ports that need to be configured, such as gpon3 and gpon7.
Step2: Enter the static aggregation group ID.

Step3: Click “Add” to configure the success and display.

Step 4: After the configuration is complete, the system supports the load balancing function of the
aggregation group, which can be changed. Select the desired load balancing algorithm and click
"Modify" to change it.

Step 5: If you need to delete the port member of the static aggregation group, click the first “delete” to
succeed.
Step6: If you need to delete the static aggregation group, click the second “delete” to success.

4.2 Dynamic Aggregation

Select the menu "Port Aggregation -> Dynamic Aggregation", on this page you can configure the
dynamic aggregation group.

The steps to configure a dynamic aggregation group are as follows:
Step 1: In the port under LACP configuration, select the required port, for example, select gpon1.
Step2: Enter the group ID and select Active or Passive in the mode.

Step3: Click “Create” to generate the configuration.

Step4: If you need to add multiple port members in the same aggregation group, you can complete the
configuration by repeating Step1.

Step 5: After the configuration is complete, the system supports the load balancing function of the
aggregation group, select the required load balancing algorithm, and click “Modify”.

Step6: If you need to delete the port member of the aggregation group, select the port member and
click the first “delete” to succeed.

Step7: If you need to delete the aggregation group, just click the second "delete" to be successful.

5 Port Configuration

5.1 Port Setting

Select the menu "Port Configuration -> Port Setting", where you can see the ports that can be
managed and the status of the ports.

You can check the port range and check the port state, speed and flow control parameters.
Configurations such as port management status are available. The port adaptation function is enabled
by default. After the shutdown, you can manually modify the port rate and duplex mode. On this page,
you can also enable or disable port flow control.

5.2 Storm Control

You can perform storm control configuration for broadcast/multicast/unknown list broadcasts.

Rate Limit : Specifies the maximum rate that the interface is allowed to pass, ranging from 0-100000
kbps.
Packets Limit : Specifies the maximum number of packets that can be forwarded per second. The
number of packets is pps (packets per second). The value ranges from 0-100000 pps.
The storm control configuration is as follows:
Step1: Select the ports to be configured, such as gpon2 and gpon3.
Step2: Select broadcast, multicast or unknown unicast, etc., and enter the values in the range.
Step3: Click”modify” to configure and display.

5.3 Port Mirroring

Select the menu "Port Configuration -> Port Mirroring", on this page you can add a mirroring
configuration.

You can follow these steps:


Step1: Select the mirror port and monitor port in the list:
Step2: Select the direction to be monitored by the mirror source port: Both, Receive, or Transmit.
Step3:Click the “Add” button, and a successful configuration will appear in the column.

After modifying the configuration, click the option button before configuration, reset the ports and
direction, click ”Modify” to modify the mirror configuration, or select the configuration and click the
“Delete” button to delete the mirror configuration.

5.4 Port Isolation

Select the menu "Port Configuration -> Port Isolation",on this pages you can add ports for isolation.

Port isolation can be based on the following steps:
Step1: Select the ports in the list that need to be isolated:
Step2: At this time, the port range will display the selected port information, and select the port isolation
enable or disable.
Step3:Click the "Modify" button, the configuration is successful.

6 VLAN Configuration

6.1 VLAN Configuration

VLAN Configuration can be based on the following steps:


Step1: Fill in the VLAN ID (range 2-4094);
Step2: Fill in a name;
Step3: Click the “Add” button, the configuration is successful.

After the configuration is completed, as shown below:

Modify the configuration, click the Options button before configuration, re-enter the name, click
"edit" to modify VLAN configuration, you can also select the article configured to remove the VLAN
configured as required click on the "delete" button.

6.2 Port Based VLAN

Select the menu "VLAN Configuration -> Port Based VLAN". On this page, you can add the
configuration of the port VLAN.

You can follow these steps:


Step1: Select the port to be configured in the list:
Step2: Select the link type: The drop-down option box includes Access, trunk, and Hybrid.

Step3: Click the "Modify" button to complete the modification of the port VLAN Mode.

Step4: Allowed VLAN ID column can be added or deleted, and allowed VLAN ID.

7 PON Management
7.1 DBA Profile Configuration
Select the menu "PON Management-> DBA Profile Management". The DBA is mainly used to limit the
upstream bandwidth of the ONU.

Name: DBA profile name. If not specified, the system will automatically adopt the default name
"dbaprofilex" and "x" is the number of the DBA profile.
ID: DBA profile number. If not specified, the system will automatically assign the smallest profile number.
Value range: 11-512.
Fixed bandwidth: This part of the bandwidth is fixedly allocated to the user, even if the user does not
use it, other users can not occupy. The value ranges from 256 to 1244160 Kbit/s.
Guaranteed bandwidth: This part of the bandwidth is allocated to the user. If the user does not use it,
other users can occupy this part of the bandwidth. The value ranges from 256 to 1244160 Kbit/s.
Maximum bandwidth: The maximum bandwidth value that a user can use. The configuration needs to
follow fix <= assure <= max. The maximum bandwidth value range: 256 ~ 1244160Kbit / s.

1. DBA profile creation:
Step1:Fill in the name or ID (only select one of them to input);
Step2:Select the type of DBA profile. There are five types can be selected according to the actual
situation. For example, select type5 and set the corresponding parameters. Then click “Add” button to
complete the creation of the DBA profile.

2. Modify the DBA profile configuration.
Step 1: Select the previous option, modify the parameters and Click “Modify” to modify the configuration
successfully.

3. Delete the configuration.


Select the option before the configuration, and click the "Delete" button.
Note:
Be ensure that the DBA profile is not bound by any line profile before you want to delete it.

7.2 Capability Profile Management


Select the menu "PON Management -> Capability Profile Management" and fill in the configuration as
prompted.

Types: Gigabit; fast; any
Way: Select auto for automatic matching; Select num if you need to configure the specific number.
Ethernet ports number: the value ranges from 0 to 32.
The capability profile configuration steps are as follows:
Step1: In the capability profile configuration bar, fill in a name or ID;
Step2: Click “Add” to add a new capability profile successfully.

Step3: Change the parameters and click "Configure" button to modify successfully.

Step4: Delete the configuration, select the option before the configuration, and click “Delete”.

7.3 Line Profile Management


Select the menu "PON Management-> Line Profile Management". You can add and modify the tcont
info in this page,and bind DBA profile with the tcont for the upstream speed limiting.You can add and
modify the GEM port info,and can also configure the GEM port and flow mapping in this page.

7.3.1 Create a new line profile

Type in the Name or the ID(make sure only choose one item to type in),then click the “Add” button to
create a new line profile.

7.3.2 Set the tcont info and DBA binding

1. Add tcont and set the dba profile binding.


Step1: click the line profile you want to configure.

Step2: choose the “add” operation and select the tcont type, input the tcont ID and select a DBA profile
to bind it with the tcont. Then click the “Configure” button to finish the adding of a tcont.

2. Modify the parameters of the tcont

At first, click the line profile you want to configure. Change the parameters and choose the “mo
dify” operation, then click the “Configure” button to finish the modification of a tcont.

3. Delete a tcont

At first, click the line profile you want to configure. Type in the tcont id and click the “Delete” button to
delete this tcont.

4. Check the tcont info


Click the “info” link in the line profile list to check the tcont info you have configured.You can fi
nd it at the first line.

7.3.3 configure the GEM port

1. Add a GEM port


Step1: click the line profile you want to configure.

Step2: choose the “add” operation and type in the GEM id and the tcont id, click the “confirm” button to
add a GEM port.

2. Modify the Gemport info

At first, click the line profile you want to configure. Change the parameters and choose the “mo
dify” operation, then click the “confirm” button to finish the modification of a gem port.

3. Delete the Gemport

At first, click the line profile you want to configure. Choose the “delete” operation, then click the
“confirm” button to delete a gem port.

4. Check the Gemport info


You can check the Gemport info you have configured in the line profile list as below.

7.3.4 gemport and flowid mapping

1. configure the gemport and flowid mapping


Step1: click the line profile you want to configure.

Step2: set the Mapping Mode

Step3:configure the mapping relationship of the gemport and flowid. For example, map id as “1”,
gemport id as “3”, map it with the eth port “1”.
In the CLI command is like this: gemport mapping 1 gemport 3 eth 1

2. Check the gemport and flowid mapping info


You can check the “map-mode” in the line profile list.

Click the “info” link to check the detail mapping info:

7.4 Service Profile Configuration
Select the menu "PON Management-> Service Profile Management", and you can configure the VLAN
for different ports of the ONU in the service profile.

The configuration steps are as follows:


1. Create a service profile:
Step1:Enter the name, for example, enter the name “sfu” and click “Add” to add a service profile
successfully.

Step2:Select a capability profile and click the “Confirm” button to bind it with the new service profile.

2. Configure the VLAN:
Select the service profile to be configured, enter the port to be configured, select the VLAN mode:
transparent / tag / trunk / translation, and enter the specific values required.
For example: select “sfu” profile, input the port 2,choose VLAN mode as tag and set VLANID as
2100.Click the “Configure” button to finish the configuration.

3. Delete the VLAN configuration:


Select the VLAN setting item and click the "Delete" button to delete the vlan configuration for this port in
this service profile.

4. Delete the service profile:
Select the service profile to be deleted and click the "Delete" button.

7.5 Warning Profile Management


Select menu "PON Management-> Warning Profile Management" to configure loop alarms, ONU port
up / down, ONU online and offline alarms,etc.

The steps for configuring the alarm profiles are as follows:
1. Create a warning profile:
Enter the name or ID, for example, enter the name “w1” and click “Add” to add the configuration
successfully.

2. Configure the warning profile:

In the warning configuration column, enable the warnings and click the "confirm" button.

3. Delete the alarm profile:
To delete the configuration, select the warning profile to be deleted and click “Delete”.

7.6 OLT Management


Select the menu "PON Management -> OLT Management" to view the OLT status,Module temperature,
module voltage, laser output power ,receiver optical power and other information of the PON module.

7.7 ONU Management

7.7.1 ONU List

Select the menu "PON Management -> ONU Management",and view the registration information of the
ONU.

In this page, you can manage, re-register, reboot, and add offline configurations for the ONU.

7.7.2 ONU Basic Information

Click the "Manage" operation button in the ONU registration list, and it will turn to the ONU
management page.
On the ONU management page, you can view the ONU information, perform WAN configuration, WiFi
2.4G configuration, WiFi 5G configuration, binding profile, loop detection and alarm configuration, etc.
On the home page of the ONU management page, you can view the basic ONU information:

7.7.3 Binding configuration

7.7.3.1 Binding profile

Select the Bindings tab to bind the service profile and line profile and configure the description.
Note:
➢ Service profiles can be used to configure VLAN information for ONU ports,still need to configure
the gemport and flowid mapping in the line profile for the vlan setting to take effect. And through
binding the DBA profile with the tcont in the line profile to limit the upstream rate of the ONU.
➢ Bind the service profile and line profile for the onu before you configure the loop detection,Alarm
profile,wifi_2.4G,wifi_5G and WAN info.
Step 1: Select the line profile and service profile to be bound, configure the description information, and
click the "Bind" button.

The following prompt message will be displayed, suggesting that the binding configuration will take
effect after applying, click the "OK" button.

Step2: Click the "Apply" button to send the binding configuration to the ONU to complete the binding
configuration.

Note: You need to click “Apply” to deliver the configuration successfully.

7.7.3.2 Unbind profile

Click the "Unbind" button to complete the unbinding of the profile information

7.7.4 WAN Configuration

Select the "WAN Conf" tab to configure WAN Info for the ONU.

7.7.4.1 Create the first WAN connection

Step1: If there is no WAN configuration by default, when clicking the "WAN Conf" tab, a prompt box will
pop up as follows, click "OK".

Step2: Enter the initial configuration WAN connection page, and click the "Create" button:

Step3: Enter the WAN connection configuration page, after configuring the parameters, click the
"Confirm" button to create the first WAN connection successfully.

7.7.4.2Add a WAN connection

Step1: An existing WAN connection is as follows, if you want add a new link, please click the “Create”
button firstly:

Step2: Modify the parameters based on this WAN connection,for example, change Wan Mode to Bridge,
Service Type to Other, select the LAN1 port to be bound, and input the VLAN ID as 2100. Click the
"confirm" button to add a new WAN connection.

Step3:After create successfully, WAN configuration page will add a new page, Total pages will increase
by 1, if the WAN connection is successfully issued and the connection is established, the status will be
displayed as connected

7.7.4.3 Modify WAN connection configuration

To change some parameters or options of the WAN connection:


Step1: On the WAN configuration page, click "Previous" or "Next" to find the WAN connection to be
modified:

Step2: Modify the corresponding parameters as required, and click "Modify" to complete the
configuration modification.

7.7.4.4 Delete WAN connection configuration

To delete a WAN connection:


Step1: On the WAN configuration page, click "Previous" or "Next" to find the WAN connection to be

Step2: Click the "Delete" button to complete the deletion of the WAN connection.

7.7.4 WIFI 2.4G Configuration

Select the "WIFI 2.4G Configuration" tab, and then configure the 2.4G WIFI.

7.7.5 WIFI 5G Configuration

Select the "WIFI 5G Configuration" tab, and then configure the 5G WIFI.

7.7.7 Loop Detection

Select the "Loop Detection" tab to modify the loop detection configuration of each port onu

By selecting UNI PORT and Enable Loop/Disable Loop, enter the interval value and click "Confirm" to
configure the success.

There will be the following prompt message, suggesting that the binding configuration will take effect
after it is applied, click the "OK" button:

Click the "Apply" button to send the binding configuration to the ONU to complete the binding
configuration.

7.7.8 Warnprofile Configuration

Select the "Alarm Conf" tab to modify the alarm profile bound by onu:

Select the added warning profile from the list of warning profilest and click”Confirm”.

7.7.9 ONU Upgrade

Select the menu "PON management-> ONU management", you can upgrade ONUs under the same
PON port individually or in batches.
Step1: Select the ONU that needs to be upgraded and the Port ID where it is located, and click "ONU
Upgrade";

Step2: Click "Choose file" to select the version file to be upgraded, and click "Upgrade";

The whole process will take a few minutes. Do not cut off the power or unplug the network cable during
this time.

When the system prompts that the upgrade is successful, you can proceed to the next step.

Step3: Upgrade successfully, check the upgrade status and registration status, wait for the upgrade
status to display as "upgrade success", the registration status as "config ok", and click
"commit";

Step4: If the system prompts "commit success", the ONU upgrade is successful.
