Language is an identifier of a nation's temperament, determines its culture and the
influence of other language traditions on it. I quote a prominent modern Ukrainian writer: “Nations do not die of a heart attack. First, he takes away their language. " "We must be aware that the language problem is relevant for us at the beginning of the XXI century, and if we do not come to our senses, we will have a very disappointing prospect," - says Lina Kostenko. That is why it is so important now to use our native language in everyday life. In addition to interpersonal communication, the Ukrainian language should be disseminated in the form of song lyrics, books and the language of films. The role of the writer in society is extremely important. The writer is the eyes, thoughts and conscience of society. Honesty, the ability to look bravely in the eyes of reality and openly tell the truth are a real writer. His careful observations, accurate assumptions and predictions are a response of time and at the same time - a formative element of the historical period and its cultural layer. The modern Ukrainian literary field is quite wide. Among the most popular domestic authors of the XXI century are Lyubko Deresh, Serhiy Zhadan, Oksana Zabuzhko, Iren Rozdobudko, Maria Matios and others. For me, a prominent figure in modern Ukrainian literature is a writer with an unusual pseudonym - Luko Dashvar. Experienced screenwriter and journalist Iryna Chornova collected her nickname from the first syllables of the names of family and close friends. Since 2006, when the first book was published, one book after another has become a bestseller, and each new novel wins the annual Coronation of the Word competition. The author's latest book called "Protection" today occupies a leading position in the rankings of the most popular books in Ukrainian publications [1]. Cultprostir informs: in 2015 the publishing house "Family Leisure Club" sold the most copies of the following books [2]: "Destroy this diary" by Carrie Smith. "Wonderland. Coloring for peace and inspiration "by Millie Marott. "Black Sun" Vasily Shklyar. "The Land of Bitter Tenderness" Volodymyr Lys. "Veil" Luko Dashvar. According to the Ukrainian newspaper Fakty, Luko Dashvar's book Pokrov tops the list of the most popular books in Ukrainian publications. Reader's comment with the nickname "Stefanyk": "Such native" Dashvar "prose. Unbearably relevant, and at the same time, traditional. He reminds us that we shouldn't forget our ancestors. " Ulyana Rabinyuk also shares her own emotions from what she read on the writer's page on the social network: And yet, in each new work to resonate with the previous ones, skillfully weaving into the outline of the plot of heroes from other works, I read and there is a feeling as if I met old friends or well-known people, whose fate I do not care "[4]. First of all, you should pay attention to the title of the book. The dictionary gives the definition: a shroud is something that covers or covers something [5]. The name uses the interpretation of the meaning of the word, it acquires the meaning of "protection, defense". Another reason why the book has such a title lies in the content of the novel: because to preserve and continue the glorious family of the main character will help only the souls of blood ancestors, and therefore- "кров native blood - cover, protection!" [6] and this motif is traced on the cover books: its main color coincides with the color of blood, and the title, consisting of one word, is written in such a way that the reader unconsciously perceives "cover" as a phrase that means "blood". In many of his works, Luko Dashvar uses interweaving of stories from the past and historical edits into a plot based on real events. The last novel is no exception, moreover, it is directly related to the events of the past and contains real historical information about famous figures in the history of Ukraine. The events revolve around the Cossack Yarema Dorosh - the son of regimental cornet Peter Dorosh. In addition to well-known historical facts, the author has woven into the thriller stories of familiar love and separation stories in the postwar and revolutionary times of the XIX-XX centuries. Due to such extramarital contacts, constant changes of surnames, it was so difficult for the main characters to find descendants in the seventh generation, but from time to time the author emphasizes that inheritance and wealth are not the main purpose of life in general and specific ancestral searches. The connecting thread permeates the entire work of the idea of the same cover. Luko Dashvar speaks of the healing and saving power of ancestral souls in the seventh generation. By remembering the names of one hundred and twenty-six ancestors, you seem to be able to receive unwavering protection for the next seven generations. The author conveys all this information through the words of the image of the fortune teller's grandmother, whose name has not changed for more than seven generations, and her family stretches from the Sulfur Root to 2014, the events of which are the main plot line of the novel. As already mentioned, the main line of the plot still takes place in real time and the main feature of this is another, now historical event, which creates images of heroes and which became the impetus for writing the book as a whole - the Revolution of Dignity, which ends at the end of the novel. flows during the anti-terrorist operation. Thus, Ms. Iryna touches on a topic that does not leave indifferent any worthy Ukrainian today. The writer describes in detail the events of Maidan in 2014, the feelings of all those who were somehow involved in it. At a press conference dedicated to the presentation of the book, the author says that the use of characters known to its regular readers - Gotsyk and Makar (the protagonists of the trilogy "Beaten Is" by Luko Dashvar) and even their death after another terrible night of the revolution is not accidental. Luko Dashvar claims that she chose guys familiar to the reader to emphasize [3]. In addition to issues of patriotism, loyalty to the country, etc., Luko Dashvar does not forget about the eternal themes of love, devotion, human values. But as it should be in a good book, in the end everything ends as best as possible: someone finds a way to benefit society, as in the case of Yark and Pole, who go to the anti-terrorist operation zone after the revolution; some understand the value of love and change their own life priorities, such as Khotynsky and Mrs. Aida, who are abandoning the pursuit of wealth for the sake of love. After analyzing the work, I realized that since the writer began to describe more than one period of time and more than one historical event, the stylistic color of the text will not be monotonous. The color of the text is due to the ability of language to constant change under the influence of certain historical conditions. So, I decided to explore the quantitative and qualitative composition of obsolete underused words of the nineteenth century. and the latest phrases of the XXI century. Luko Dashvar already has a well-established style of writing novels. A characteristic feature of her works is the harmonious combination of the vernacular Ukrainian language with the literary one. Thus, in the stories of the former journalist, along with obsolete words, modern colloquial vocabulary is used. For example, in the episodes that describe the life of Yarema Dorosh and his contemporaries, we find the following obsolete words: There are also words that are not often used by us in everyday life: manishka, ottoman, forehead, sknite, konati, purse, cockroach, wax, consistory, archivist. In contrast, Luko Dashvar quotes words directly generated by the Revolution of Dignity, which remind the reader of the period in which the events take place and help to delve into the atmosphere in which the heroes of the work are. These are such words as: Maidan residents, Molotov cocktail, Berkut member. The vocabulary with the same functionality in "PoKrov" should include words of foreign origin: brand group, loft, quatrocento, consensus. In addition, the author uses slang words that are a direct alliteration of English words: help, goodbye, life, aftepati. and colloquial vocabulary Another defining feature of the author's prose with such a strange pseudonym is the use of abusive words. The novel "PoKrov" is no exception, there is a derogatory word nimchura (from "German"), as well as modern abusive words from colloquial (cholera), spatial (ofigela, old man, don't care) and even profanity. vocabulary language dashvar In the process of reading it is impossible to miss the pronounced stylistically colored spatial vocabulary: zadrypanka, zechka, janitors, saleswoman, cops, cops, loot, snore, conquer, push, cool, sarcastic, nothing, uninteresting, guldebass, quick, comments », Butter, photo, kurtofan, receivers. Such words envelop the reader in the atmosphere of reality, it creates an irresistible feeling that such events really took place in someone's life. In order to convey as accurately as possible the events that surround the characters at a given moment, the author also uses verbal transmission of sounds, such as "lyas!" or "ba-bah!". Luko Dashvar sets himself the task of replenishing the reader's vocabulary, which is why her novels are filled with melodious Ukrainian words, in which dialectisms are often intertwined: fire, bypass, scarf, get lost, cool. Moreover, the book vocabulary used to emphasize the intelligence of individual characters will help the reader to expand the vocabulary of the Ukrainian language: exalted, retrospective, ephemeral. At the same time, the text is full of commonly used Ukrainian words: food, beware, tirluvalsya, raschachnyutsya, snitytsya, mulyaty, balabonity, belkotity, otzhburnuty, tuptsyuvaty, melancholy, agitated, blond, tabletop, reproductions, maxims, bridgehead. The author does not forget to diversify his own literary texts with both well-known and little-used phraseology: difficult, like a grave cross, conversation; they were throwing bisics; stick sticks in the wheels; skin feel; sob cry; sil katma; heat rake; slap like hemp; full of questions, until the roof is torn; dark, though the eye pierces; shorten age; nowhere to go; go crazy. Having researched different types of vocabulary, which Luko Dashvar skillfully combines in a single work, we claim that the Ukrainian language has unlimited resources, and Iryna Chorniy has a real flair for creating insightful novels that can enchant not only the plot but also the style of writing. Don't be afraid to read books that have not yet become world bestsellers. More and more authors write their own works in the Ukrainian language, thus increasing its prestige and popularity. Ukrainian literature today is quite interesting and diverse. Everyone will find an author whose style will appeal to them. And remember the words of the famous Ukrainian writer V. Stus: "book hunger is worse than any other." So, do not starve! References:
