All about My Hometown “ Kebumen”

My city is located in central of java, namely is Kebumen. Kebumen is located near Hindia Oceana in
southest of Indonesia. It is close to Cilacap regency.  All people have known Kebumen as an
“ngapak” city, but Kebumen has interesting tourism places. In fact, Kebumen has many tourism
places.
Kebumen is recommended for people who will picnic or refreshing with their family, their friends,
and may be with their couple. It is surrounding by hills, mountains, and also karsts. It has a fresh
circumstance with beautiful and natural scenery that make all people amazed. Many tourism places
spread in some subdistrict. For example, Kebumen has a beach called Karangbolong, which is
located in eighteen kilometers south of Gombong. Karangbolong has cliff where hundreds of
swallows build their nests in small caves. the nest are collected four times a year, in January, April,
August, November. The tradition of collecting nest called Ngunduh Walet. One of the most
interesting tourism places in Kebumen is Jatijajar cave. Jatijajar cave is located about 49 km west of
Kebumen or 20 km from Gombong and it is the most interesting cave in Central of Java. Around the
cave is equipped with Dinosaur statue which discharges water from his mouth, whereas water comes
from sources inside cave every day. There are also has another beautiful cave in the area of Jatijajar
cave, such as Intan Cave and Dempok cave. That cave completed by a pleasure park, namely is
Taman Kera, that many of monkey statues in there. No wonder, many people want to visit Jatijajar
cave to enjoy their holiday. Kebumen not only has cliff and cave in tourism places but also many
beautiful beach such as Menganti, Suwuk, Pasir Indah.
On the other hand Kebumen not only as a tourism places but also as a central industry, such as the
greatest producing brown sugar in Java. Brown sugar is a raw material for various foods and raw
materials complementary foods such as soy sauce and “ dodol ”. One thing that you must not to be
forget, Kebumen has a special snack that is “ Lanting “. Lanting is a special snack that made of
cassava,the taste is delicious and crispy. It is sold in stalls along the street in Kebumen and in the
market.
Kebumen is my beloved town. I live and I grow up there. The beautiful place that I never forget,
wherever I go I will still remember and return to Kebumen.
