Introduction to Multisim
Software
Objectives
• To be familiar with Multisim Environment
• To study how to construct the circuit in
Multisim
• To study how to simulate the electric circuit in
Multisim
• How to analyze the characteristic of different
electronics components and devices using
Multisim
Equipment's and Tool
• Multisim software
• PC
Multisim Software

• Multisim is a simulation tool that can be used to

expedite the analysis and design of various
circuits.
• Multisim is a product of National Instruments
• Multisim is the schematic capture and simulation
program designed for schematic entry, simulation,
and feeding to downstage steps, such as PCB
layout. It also includes mixed analogue/digital
simulation capability, and micro-controller co-
simulation

Locking Toolbars

• You can lock toolbars in place to prevent them from being

inadvertently
moved.
Once you have placed them as you like, you can lock all docked
toolbars in
place in different ways:
• Select Options»Lock Toolbars.
• Enable Lock all docked toolbars from the Toolbars tab of the
Customize dialog box. Refer to the Toolbars tab section for more
information.
• Right-click in any toolbar and select Lock Toolbars from the pop-
up
menu that appears.
Open or create new project
• A blank schematic Circuit 1 is automatically created.
• To create a new schematic click on File – New –
Schematic Capture.
• To save the schematic click on File /Save As.
• To open an existing file click on File/ Open in the
toolbar
• To open sample from library- click on open sample
