Life is a precious gift from God given to us.

For us human beings who are entrusted

by God to preserve and protect the life of every individual I am one of those who respect and
love with dignity to safeguard human rights.

It is timely and relevant nowadays in our society that we are facing this pandemic of
COVID 19. There were a lots of health workers who are risking their lives to help and protect
the life of the infected individuals. Some of them are fallen because they were not able to
survive. The cases in our society are rising everyday the death toll also increasing. The
hospitals are full in capacity the supply of medicines and oxygen are insufficient. The people
are dying not only in COVID but also in economic resources because they are not able to
work and open their business because of lockdowns. The government support is not enough
because of the scarcity of resources. Some people in our government are quarrelling in
presenting their own self interest instead of helping one another to resolve this situation.

Each one of us, want to survive in these trying times there are a lot of challenges that
will test ourselves as a human on how we can protect our own life, our family, and the others.
My cents for this are we should follow the safety protocols to lessen the infection. We should
engage to government programs and efforts to protect us for the infection such as
vaccination. As an educator we should be the source of the legitimate information. We need
to use our influence to educate the importance of herd immunity so that we can preserve
many lives in our society. We have a right but also it is our duty and responsibility to help our
government efforts in eliminating Covid 19 so that we can go back into a normal situation.

For the side of the government these should be the lesson for them to legislate laws
that will invest for the healthcare. They should allocate higher budget to build more hospitals
and engage in research and biotechnology so that we can have an advance healthcare system
and to develop medicines for the hazardous and infectious diseases. I believed if our country
has a good healthcare system in can reciprocate into various societal development.

Based on the statement of Mother Teresa, it is our right to have a life, freedom of
expression and liberty. As a human it is also our responsibility to protect other lives
especially in this pandemic. We should show our love and compassion to each one of us
specially those suffering from mental health instability because of stress and anxiety. A
simple message in a chat box for our friends and loved ones can help a lot since we are not
allowed to meet physically. The gestures of caring sometimes can save lives because this will
lead into conversation that will ease the burden.

Therefore, we should strengthen our faith in God that we will overcome these situations. We
should pray to God and ask for his guidance in every decision we will make and protection
for ourselves, family and love ones.
