If for an artist the color is a means of expression, and for a pedagogue, a visual education system for the

nurse is at the same time a diagnostic and remedy element.

Chromo-therapy is a technique for the relief of color-related diseases based on human cells being
influenced by electromagnetic waves such as white light and ultraviolet rays. When people have a
disorder, the electromagnetic field of the body is an imbalance, and chromotherapy has the role of
regulation.
Color therapy is done with successive light baths and irradiation with multiple beams of different colors or
different body portions.

Chromotherapy, which has some scientific bases, is just an adjuvant method, and practitioners do not want
to cure illness anymore with the help of colors. They can, however, contribute to the relief of suffering by
influencing certain organs directly or indirectly, but especially of the psyche.

Wearing colored clothing, according to preference, is also a form of chromotherapy. But, most of the time,
our preferences do not coincide with the chromotherapeutic indications. While these specialists
recommend wearing in the winter warm colors, which soothes and stimulates (orange, yellow, red) and
cold in the summer (blue and dark green), we do exactly the opposite. All chroma-therapists recommend
melancholic people with more vivid colors and more obvious drawings, and those who have an important
exam or want to memorize light, red and red clothes.

Chromotherapy also involves using the most appropriate colors at home, at work, but especially in
polyclinics and hospitals. Taking into account the therapeutic properties of the colors, the blue or green
light should be predominant in the sleeping room (never red, regardless of the shade), in the orange or
yellow room (which improves the efficiency of intellectual work) and in the bathroom, white.
In the opinion of specialists, the office walls have to be painted in orange or yellow (never in white, which
decreases the pace of any activity), as well as corridors or stairs. In high-temperature rooms, the red color
will not be used, but only cold colors (blue, green, dark violet) that give the illusion of cold. Both in the
operating rooms and in the patients' salons, hot, sedative colors must prevail. Salons of sick children
should not miss the pink color and, if possible, colorful designs.

Taking into account the influence of colors on the psyche of many patients, some drug stores have
marketed medicines for those aestheticians and depressions colored only in yellow and orange (colors
recognized for dynamic properties), anxious in very light blue (sedative color), and for pain relief in pink
(calming color). The same factories have not long been staining red medicines for heart patients or high
blood pressure.

Orange stimulates mental activity, rejuvenates the body, beneficial effects on the kidneys and bladder,
heart disease, endocrine diseases, treats anemia, heats and helps restore energy. It has the role of calming
in digestive disorders, spasmodic processes and stimulates the immune system. It is the antiobesity color
by excellence, stimulates the respiratory system, facilitates the assimilation of calcium in the body, being
an excellent sexual stimulation. It is considered unanimous the color of joy and good mood, the joy of
living.

Indications: treating asthma, spasmophilia, gallstones, melancholia, stress, bronchitis, kidney or liver
disease, chronic rheumatism. Orange is an antidepressant and an ideal regenerant, an excellent anti-stress
color, helps us balance ourselves dynamically when we are aggrieved by external factors. From the
psychological point of view, the orange color is indicated for mental rebalancing, redesigning optimism,
plenary life, and is especially indicated for overcoming inhibitions, obsessions and sexual disorders,
spasms or neuroses. Orange has no contraindications.
