Reliable Detection under Any Conditions

Highest Ever TERA Power

Equipped with a newly-developed LED module and TERA
Mode to deliver power 1650 times higher than conventional
models. Ensures stable readings over long periods of time,
even in situations that require high power such as in dirty
environments or when working with workpieces that have
low reflectance.

Never Before Experienced Ease of Use

Easy to Read OLED Display

The built-in OLED display revolutionary advancement over
7-segment character screens. Letters and symbols are easy
to see, for ease of everything from configuration to
maintenance with ease - and with no need to look at the
manual.

Visual Innovation: Fibre Unit Indicator

The innovative indicator attached to the fibre unit solves a
basic challenge with fibreoptic sensors, allowing users to
check operation without having to look at the amplifier.

Equipped with New LED Module - “NEO Parabolic LED”

Light intensity is significantly increased using the latest high brightness LED and efficient circuit design. Also, the
parabolic mirror formed by the paraboloid surface transmits light emitted by the LED directly to the front fibre unit.

Compatible with high speed lines and improves
positioning accuracy, the FS-N40 Series rises to the
challenge of improving factory processing time.

Visual Innovation: Fibre Unit Indicator

Understand Status without Looking at Amplifier

How the fibre unit lights in green

A miniature green LED is placed in front of the amplifier

receiver's light receiving element. The green light
Green
comes on with the sensor, allowing users to see the LED
status just by looking at the front of the Fibre Unit. An
optical filter positioned between the light receiving

element and the green LED ensures that light from the
green LED does not affect the light receiving element.

Multi-Functional Active Receiver

Configuration

Assists Optical-Axis Alignment

Optical-axis alignment for fibre units takes a long time

Green light comes on
because the light is invisible. It may even take two people
when optical axes are aligned
to ensure the optical axis is correct, one looking at the
amplifier display and the other carrying out the optical-
axis alignment. In Active Receiver Optical-Axis Alignment
Mode, the fibre units indicate when the optical axes are
aligned, making it easy for one person to carry out
optical-axis alignment.

Adjustment

Amplifier Pairing

When using multiple fibreoptic sensors, time can be

wasted looking for the fibre unit linked to the amplifier
being operated. Pairing Mode makes the indicator on the
fibre unit flash, so users can confirm at a glance which
units are linked.

Fibre Units Are Also Evolving

Fibre Unit Indicator Visible from Any Angle

The fibre unit, with its even easier to see indicator, is

available in a total of 10 thrubeam and reflective models.
This makes it easier than ever to confirm operational
status, from any angle.

Helpful Usage Tips

• Use the timer function of a fibreoptic amplifier if chattering occurs due to dripping or bubbles in the liquid.
• Do not pull or push the fibre unit. 30N every three seconds maximum for the FU-93 Series, and 10N every three seconds maximum for the
FU-95 Series.
• Stable detection may not be possible in the following cases (FU-93 Series):
If a bubble adheres to the tip of the sensor;
If a foreign material adheres to the tip of the sensor;
Highly adhesive liquid;
High temperature liquids such as strong acid or strong alkali (Liquid with PFA mixed or penetrated, or fluorinated acid.); and opalescent liquid
or liquid that colours PFA.
• A tube whose wall thickness is 3 mm or greater may make detection difficult. (FU-95 Series)
• FU-95 Series cannot be used for opaque tubes.
• Use the Display Scaling function of the FS-N40/N10 Series to adjust the displayed light intensity.
• With the FU-93/93Z, the sensor and PFA case are inserted into a thermo fitted tube 80 mm, up to the tip, in order to secure them in place.
Take care to avoid cutting this tube, which will result in looseness.
