Q 2. Investigation Problem.

In the given figure, OA0A1 is a right-angled triangle, right-angled at A0.

a) Show that the hypotenuse OA1 = [B: 1 2]

Given below is a spiral formed by creating right-angled triangles having

perpendicular side as the hypotenuse of the previous triangle and the base
side is always 1 cm.

b) The spiral started with first right-angled triangle having its shorter sides as
1 cm each. The diagram above has up to first four triangles, however if the
pattern continues up 7th triangles, complete the table with appropriate
values in square root of an integer. DO NOT covert the values into
decimal. [Level: B, C: 3 4 ]

triangle in the spiral. [B: 3 4]

(v) Verify your general rule for the length of the perpendicular (P) of a
triangle in the spiral. [B, C: 5 6]
