Seminar 1
Professional development and action research are both very significant
in the teaching profession. Professional development is an opportunity for
teachers to learn about new policies, techniques, and materials that will help
them educate their students. Action research is an opportunity for teachers to
reflect on their practice and improve their craft by analyzing data and making
informed decisions based on what they find. Both of these methods are
important to ensure that students receive the best education possible.
In order to improve their service delivery, teachers are usually prompted
to attend in-service meetings, conferences and even workshops. These meetings
and workshops often provide a venue for teachers to interact with each other
and learn from experienced colleagues. They also serve as a platform for
sharing ideas and best practices among teachers. By attending such workshops,
teachers are given the opportunity to update their knowledge about the latest
teaching methods and strategies which would help them deliver better lessons
to their students.
The face of education has changed drastically over the past few decades.
With the rise of technology, education has become accessible to everyone, and
students no longer have to be physically present in order to learn. In fact, with
the advent of online learning, there are countless ways for students to study
from home. Schools should promote a fair learning environment so that all
students can succeed.
There are many different learning delivery modalities that schools can
adopt to facilitate teaching and learning. These include whole class teaching,
small group teaching, individualized learning, online learning, and project-
based learning. By tailoring the delivery of content to the specific needs of
learners, teachers can effectively teach students in a way that is tailored to their
individual needs.
Seminar 3
Online education is a great way for students to learn on their own pace.
Most of the time, the teacher is not always available to answer questions which
can be frustrating for a student who is confused about a topic. With online
classes, students have the freedom to work on their own and go back and
review anything they didn’t understand or have forgotten about.

First of all, I thank DepEd Gensan and Ramon Magsaysay Memorial
Colleges and teachers for giving me the opportunity to be part of Brigada
Pagbasa 2021 with the theme “Batang Heneral, bihasang bumasa sa gitna ng
pandemya”. I know this opportunity requires moral strength and great motivation,
so I dedicate and commit myself to do my very best.
The first thing I did was to introduce myself and let my students know each
other by stating their personal profile such as name, age, address, their ambition
and their expectations about the tutoring program. On the succeeding days, I let
them read tongue twisters , review on parts of speech such as verb, noun,
adjective and read stories like legends and fables both English and Filipino.
The poem “Footprints in the Sand” by Mary Stevenson tells a tale of two
people, one who walks in the light and one who walks in the darkness. The
poem follows both individuals through their lives, and shows how both are
accompanied by God. One has their footprints in the sand, while the other only
sees the footprints of God beside them. The moral of this poem is that during
any point of your life, you are never to feel alone. God will always be beside
you, and carrying you if needed, at any time.
