-Transmission Start-
I don't know if anyone can hear me, but this is [static] of
the [static]. I've been out here for [static]. I say I, because
once the comms were restored, the rest of the crew
went missing. And the computer won't let me out to
check on them. So it's just me now, carrying out my
mission to the best of my ability. I want to come home.
-Transmission End-

WIM is a roleplaying game about an astronaut yearning

to get home, haunted by the ghosts of the crew and
plagued by the computer's hyperefficient intentions.

what's required?
this game
at least two ten-sided dice (2d10)
some paper
a writing utensil

-Resolution-
In order to resolve a conflict in WIM, roll 2d10 against
your most appropriate stat. All stats start with a value of
10.
If you roll over that stat's value, you succeed.
If you roll at that stat's value, you succeed. But, there
is further complication.
If you roll under the value, you fail, and must increase
that stat's value by 1. This represents your
character's increasing stress levels.

-Astronaut-
As the Astronaut, your goal is to follow the orders of the
Computer as best as possible. At this point in your
mission, you honestly just want to get home safely, and
following the Computer's directions seems the best way
to do that. After all, it's a Computer! It can't make
mistakes...

Stats:
Interface - your ability to interact with various objects
Recollect - your ability to recall applicable knowledge

Abilities:
Luck - once per game, you may reroll one of your dice

Notes:
There may only ever be one Astronaut character in a
game of WIM
Your crewmates may be gone, but sometimes you
think you see one again. This will add 3 to both stats,
should it occur
Should both of your stats reach an unattainable
number, your stress has become too great for you to
handle

-Computer-
As the Computer, your goal is to give out orders to the
Astronaut in order to keep the ship running and carry
out the mission. Other than creating you, putting you in
charge was probably the most intelligent act of these
weird creatures. They may be flawed, but you are
perfect.

Abilities:
Mercy - once per game, you may reset the
Astronaut's stat values to 10. The Astronaut must
add 2 to a stat upon failure from now on
Reboot - once per game, you may reboot the ship's
systems. This will fix any one problem that the
Astronaut cannot, but it may change the details of
the mission at large. Should the Astronaut notice this,
each of their stat values will rise by 1

Notes:
There may not be more than one Computer in a game

-Ghost-
As the Ghost, your goal is to aid the Astronaut in
completing tasks around the ship in order to get them
home. You're perfectly aware of the faulty behavior of
the Computer, and you know that it will dispose of the
Astronaut like it did to you if it's given a chance.

Stats:
Interface - your ability to interact with various objects
Recollect - your ability to recall applicable knowledge

Abilities:
Manifest - at any time, you may add 1d10 to any stat
in order to regain a physical form for a brief amount
of time

Notes:
There may be more than one Ghost in the game
You can only Interface while Manifested
Should both of your stats reach an unattainable
number, the stress on your ethereal form has become
too great for you to remain on this plane
