General Motors is rapidly strengthening its approach to vehicle safety, such as an increased focus on system interactions,

and improvements in analysis and decision-making processes. But process and analytics are not enough - producing the
safest cars for our customers requires active dialogue within GM, with suppliers and with dealers. Identification,
communication and escalation of potential safety issues is required. Cost is not a factor when safety is, or potentially
could be involved. Safety matters most. Always. Importantly, it is GM’s expectation that you speak up when becoming
aware of a vehicle or product safety concern.

How to Report a Safety Concern

GM’s Speak Up for Safety is a program launched in May 2014. It is intended to make it easier for employees, contract
workers and suppliers to report potential product safety issues. As a GM supplier, you can submit vehicle safety
concerns via GM’s Awareline program, which is GM’s tool for processing, managing, and routing your safety-related
submissions into the Speak Up for Safety program. All vehicle/product-related safety submissions through Awareline are
directed to the GM’s Global Vehicle Safety team for review and appropriate action.

Reports can be made 24 hours per day, 7 days per week by phone, Web, or email. Individuals filing reports can remain
anonymous, if they choose. Calls and IP addresses are never recorded or traced. The call specialists who answer the
phones speak English, Spanish and Portuguese. Immediate access to interpreters to assist with other languages is also
available. The web form is also offered in 28 foreign languages and is the preferred method of submission. Below are the
reporting method details.
