ENG 150 Student self-assessment

Displayed below is a series of objectives that this course is supposed to help students learn, do, or develop. It’s up to us to make sure it

plan to meet these objectives throughout this course and semester.

most challenging for you:

There are three outcomes for this course, I was thinking about all the objectives of this course and how they can help me to improve,
learn and develop skills about the writing process, critical reading, and effective research. When I was checking my proficiency level, I
found that I need a lot to improve, especially with result 1, since for example, I do not have the experience to use a writing process, I
usually only write the ideas that come to my mind and many times I am unclear.
I plan to learn and study more about each objective, especially with them that I have a low level. I will try to apply these principles when I
read my scriptures every day, as I plan to write down some specific feelings so I would be improving both my writing skills and my critical
reading.
I will read the instructor's comments every week to improve and learn from my mistakes, I will try to read another example about essays
and how the principle of the writing process, grammar, and traits of effective writing apply.
On outcome 2, I have more experience reading and creating critical thinking, I will try to apply all the topics that I learn in this course
when I read the material of another course.
Regarding outcome 3, I have a bit of documentation and research experience, I understand the various levels of quality sources, but I
need to learn the MLA guide, I have the idea to look for examples of material in the material of this course and another course.
In conclusion, I need a lot to learn and improve in this course, but I think this course is very important for all the courses that I will take
later, I will try to do my best.
