PROHIBITION SIGNS AND THEIR MEANINGS

Prohibition signs
1. Prohibition signs are a type of sign used to try and prevent
various activities in certain situations. They’re commonly
used to identify actions that are potentially dangerous to
your health.

2. These signs send a clear message to all who see them that
some actions are either not safe or are not permitted.
Prohibition signs are a crucial component to maintaining
safe practice and order in the workplace.

3. Typically, these signs are easily identified by their round

shape, outlined by a bold red circle and diagonal line which
extends from the top left down to the bottom right – They are
instructional signs such as “No” signs or “Do Not” signs.

4. The entire purpose of these signs is to be visible and thereby

prevent any kind of behavior which may lead to danger or an
accident; making it imperative to have the correct
prohibition signage in areas in which it is needed. Some
people don’t care about these signs and take a dangerous
choice, sometimes with very sad results. In Peru we have
many examples of this bad behavior.

Below, you will find a selection of our most popular sign symbols,

plants.

The environment plays an important role in the existence of life

on the planet Earth and it is a foundation of the Biosphere, which
determines the health of the entire planet.

Importance of Environment

Environment plays an important role in healthy living and the

existence of life on planet earth. Earth is a home for different
living species and we all are depended on the environment for
food, air, water, and other needs. Therefore, it is important for
every individual to save and protect our environment.

Impacts of Human Activities on the Environment

There are different types of human activities which are directly

attributed to the environmental disasters, which includes- acid
rain, acidification of oceans, change in the climate, deforestation,
depletion of an ozone layer, disposal of hazardous wastes, global
warming, overpopulation, pollutions, etc.

1. What is the Ecosystem?

An ecosystem is a community of living organisms in
conjunction with the nonliving components of their
environment, interacting as a system.

There are two main types of ecosystem:

A. Natural ecosystem – It is a naturally produced biological

environment found in nature. It includes deserts, forests,
grasslands, lakes, mountains, ponds, rivers, oceans, etc.
B. Artificial ecosystem – It is an artificial environment which

humidity, water, water vapor, sand, etc.

Important Questions

1. Why is the environment important in your personal

opinion?
Healthy ecosystems clean our water, purify our air,
maintain our soil, regulate the climate, recycle nutrients
and provide us with food. They provide raw materials and
resources for medicines and other purposes. They are at
the foundation of all civilisation and sustain our economies.
2. What is a natural ecosystem in your own words?
An ecosystem is comprised of all the non-living elements
and living species in a specific local environment.
Components of most ecosystems include water, air,
sunlight, soil, plants, microorganisms, insects and animals.
Ecosystems may be terrestrial – that is, on land – or aquatic.
3. What is an artificial ecosystem in your own words?
An artificial ecosystem is a human made system of plants,
animals, and people living in an area together with their
surroundings. Zoo parks often create artificial ecosystems
by placing animals in human-made areas similar to their
natural habitat.

4. What are the impacts of Human Activities on the

Environment in your personal opinion?

Humans impact the physical environment in many ways:

overpopulation, pollution, burning fossil fuels, and deforestation.
Changes like these have triggered climate change, soil erosion,
poor air quality, and undrinkable water.
