INTRODUCTION

The are different diseases present on the earth, among then there is the acquired
immunodeficency syndrom better know as AISD.

But how does this disease manifest it self ? what are the routes of transmission
of AIDS ? what are the causes and consequences of this disease ? and what are
the means of prevention ?

I- Definition

AIDS, byname and acronym of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome,


transmissible disease of the immune system caused by the
human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

II- The routes of transmission of AIDS

There are three ways of transmitting AIDS :

 Firt, it can be transmitted throught the blood.


In fact, if an HIV positive person who uses drugs exchanges their needles
with other people, they can transmit them.
In addition, if can HIV positive person who has sores comes into direct
contact whith people, they can pass the virus to them.
 Seconde, them, throught sexual realtion.
In fact, if an HIV positive person has sex that is not protected by a
condom, they can transmit the virus to their patner.
 Finally, during pregnancy and/or chilbirth.
In deed, if a woman is HIV positive she can transmit the virus to her
fœtus or during breastfeedind.

III- The symptoms of AIDS

The symptoms of AIIDS are many :

 High fever
 Chronic diarrhea
 Hair loss
 Weight loss
 Cough and throat
 Sever tiredless etc.

IV- Causes and consequences

1- The causes of AIDS

Unprotected sex and needle exchange are tehe two modes of HIV infections can
be transmitted during unprotected heteroexual or homosexual sex whether
vaginal anal or oral.

2- The consequences of VIH/AIDS

HIV gractually weakens the immune system the disease then leads to the onset
of other.

Symptoms :

 Weight loss
 Fever skin infection
 Diarrhea and cough without treatment the disease progresses to acquired
immunodeficiency syndrome known as late stage AIDS/HIV infection.

3- The prevention of AIDS

AIDS prevention methods are :

 Do not share used syringses or needles


 Not having unprotected sex, use female or male condom
 Cover any wound with a bandage
 Gloves when providing acre on when handling potentially contaminatied
materials not sharing roscos tooth brushes and other personal items that
can curry blood.

CONCLUSION

The one and only way to protect yourself from AIDS and pass it onto other is to
always use a condom during sex and never use needles for more than one
person.

It is esssentiel to know whether a erson has AIDS or not so that they do not
infect others and that they are properly managed medically, if necessary.
For this we do blood test, we call it HIV-AIDS screming
