1.2. Go to the webpage https://www.onetonline.org/

1
1.3. Go to OCCUPATION QUICK SEARCH and write your profession or your occupation.
Example: Psychology, system engineering.

1.4. The webpage will show you a list of occupations related. Choose 5 occupations
or jobs that you are interested in from this list.

Example: English Teacher

5 occupations:
• Education Teachers, Postsecondary
• English Language and Literature Teachers, Postsecondary
• Interpreters and Translators
• Special Education Teachers
• Self-Enrichment Teachers

2
1.5. Explore these 5 occupations. Read and compare the tasks, technology skills,
knowledge, skills, abilities, and activities required by these occupations.

1.6. Choose 2 tasks needed, 2 technology skills, 2 knowledges, 2 skills, 2 abilities,

and 2 work activities you consider are the most important for that kind of job.

1.7. Make one (1) infographic with the 5 occupations. Include for each one:
• Image
• Job title

3
• The 2 tasks, 2 technology skills, 2 knowledge, 2 skills, 2 abilities, and work
activities chosen. (include salary if you find it).

1.8. Write 5 sentences comparing these 5 occupations. Use comparatives and

superlatives and the vocabulary studied in Module 6.
Example:
An interpreter needs a higher oral comprehension and speech recognition
ability than a postsecondary teacher.
A primary school teacher has less technology skills than a virtual tutor.

1.9. Publish your infographic and the 5 sentences directly in the forum (Do not attach
files).

Here you have 2 webpages you can use if you want:

https://piktochart.com/formats/infographics/ or
https://www.canva.com/

Step 2: Create your resume.

2.1. Each student creates a resume or curriculum vitae using a web application like
https://resume.io/, https://zety.com/. Remember to include your personal
information, education, experience, skills and abilities you have. (Remember to
include the vocabulary studied in the previous activities.)

ATTENTION: As for printing your resume at most of these

webpages you must pay. I recommend you finish your
resume and take a screenshot of it.

2.2. Upload the screenshot of your resume in the forum.

Step 3: Comments in the forum.

Check your classmates’ infographic and resume and make comments about their
activities and about the comparative sentences. Make 2 comments comparing your
classmate’s infographics and resumes.

4
TIPS FOR YOUR COMMENTS:
Your comments to your classmates are important for this task. They will be
evaluated on the second criterion of this task. Keep in mind that you can get 14
points:
Here are some tips to get the highest score on your comments.
Do not write “good job” “excellent”, etc…
Write instead:

• Something in common we have is ….

• Check this sentence “ “ because there is a grammar mistake;
remember that….
• Your example on the word “ ______” is perfect because….
• I think that the text is interesting/boring/useful because...
• Your occupation is similar to mine because…
• Your occupation needs more “____” than mine…

I recommend you organize, review, change “_______” in your resume/infographic

because…
A comment is not to write a compliment, not just saying “good work”, this will not be
graded as a comment.
