Four people respond in the comment section of an online magazine article about living with their
parents. Read their comments and answer the questions below.

Living with parents

Person A
If I had the money, I would move out immediately. All I want is somewhere that's my own, where I can do what
I want, where I can have my own furniture and pictures, where no one can tell me what to do. If it was my
place, I'd be happy to do the cleaning and things like that, I would look after it. But at the moment it's just a
dream, because I can't find a job.

Person B
I'm perfectly happy living at home. If I lived on my own, I'd have to pay rent, do the housework, and the
cooking. Here my mother does my washing, she cleans my room, and of course she cooks, and her food is
wonderful. I have a nice room, I have my computer where I can watch TV ... Why would I want to leave? Even
if I could afford it, I wouldn't move out. Not until I get married...

Person C
It isn't that my parents aren't good to me, they are. If they weren't, I wouldn't live with them. But I just don't feel
independent. I'm 29, but I sometimes worry that if I come back very late after a night out, I'll find them still
awake waiting up for me. It's never happened, but it still makes me want to move out. Besides, it is a bit
awkward to meet my friends at my parents' home.
Person D
I'd love to move out. I get on well with my parents, but I think I'd get on with them even better if I didn't live at
home. My mother drives me mad - it isn't her fault, but she does. And I'd really like to have a dog, but my
mother is allergic to them. I need to find my own place and visiting my parents from time to time will be enough.

Four people respond in the comment section of an online magazine article about health. Read the
comments and answer the questions below.

Person A
We live in the best times for good health. Information on health is now in abundance and so are abundant
choices for maintaining good health. These two are the basis of people living longer and healthier than before.
Both prevention and cure are important part of good health. Since, I’m a yoga teacher, I will stick to looking at
prevention. Let us first negate all that has been identified as obstacles to good health in today’s world, that is,
stress, diet and lifestyle.

Person B
I am soon to be 40, and I have a very good health. I have never been home sick from work, in 20 years of
working. I have continuously kept my ideal weight since junior high, and before that too, but it’s easier as a kid,
I think. I don’t have any pains or aches, and the list goes on…Additionally, I have been thinking a lot about this
subject since at least the age of 10.

Person C
Disciplined and healthy life style help us to keep you fit mentally and physically. Do not associate with factors
that panic us and produce stress in mind. Be away from electronic devices for some hours at least because it
emits radiations that cause cancers, obesity, irritating bahaviour, anxiety, poor memory, etc. Be away from
alcohol, drugs etc. So prevention is better than cure. And do exercise regularly and have nutritious and
balanced diet.

Person D
I believe in eating a colourful variety of foods as close as possible to the form in which they grow, minimally
processed. I also believe in getting at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise every single day. This approach
has helped me maintain my weight without dieting. I still wear the same clothing size I wore in high school. My
health markers (blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure) are all good.

Who thinks…?

1. People live longer and healthier nowadays _______

2. There is no need of diets to prevent overweight _______
3. Electronic devices can be dangerous for our health _______
4. He/She is concerned about health since he was a child _______
5. It is better to eat unprocessed food whenever possible _______
6. According to his/her job, the most important thing is prevention _______
7. A healthy life should avoid mental stress _______
