RESEARCH PROPOSAL

Students are required to identify a current issue from a subject of their interest they have studied so far.
They need to conduct a preliminary review of literature related to that issue in order to:

(i) Identify any research gaps in existing body of knowledge

(ii) Narrow down the broader issue to a more specific focus that can be explored or investigated.
(iii) Select a research topic

Students must submit the following documents: (25 Marks in total)

1. INTRODUCTION (1000 words minimum)

This document must include:
1.1 Overview
1.2 Background of the Study (References from articles published in last five years is mandatory)
1.3 Problem Statement (References from articles published in last five years is mandatory)
1.4 Research Questions
1.6 Objectives of the study
1.6 Significance of the Study
1.7 Definitions of the key terms
This document must be submitted by the end of the 4th session.

2 LITERATURE REVIEW (2000 words minimum)

(References from articles published in last five years is mandatory)
This document must include:
2.1 Theoretical Foundations
2.2 Research Hypotheses development
2.3 Proposed theoretical framework
This document must be submitted by the end of the 8th session.

3 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY (500 words minimum)

This document must include:
3.1 Method of Data Collection
3.2 Sample Size
3.3 Sampling Technique
3.4 Instrument of Data Collection
3.5 Statistical Technique to be used
This document must be submitted by the end of the 10th session.

Note: All the documents must provide complete references and proper in-text citations formatted
as per APA guidelines.
