THIRD DAY OF SECOND VIRTUAL IN-SERVICE TRAINING

SCHOOL YEAR 2021-2022

Embracing what educational technology has to offer will never be easy, but it’s the
most appropriate thing to do to be of phased of today’s educational system. We should not limit
ourselves but instead, we should update our innovative skills so as not to be left behind.
Success does not come first; it comes along with effort and hard work. Since
educational technology is what educational system is mostly about nowadays, so, adaptation is
a must.
We are down now to our 4th day of in-service training. The speakers have done
their part greatly. We were taught how to be internet awesome by Ma’am Rowena A. Puyat and
Via Puyat with Sir Adrian Luke Cruz. This was really helpful to be utilized in class, if only our
learners have the means for it. Google Educators Group and Professional Development Program
were also mentioned through Ma’am Maan Santos-De Guzman.

Nowadays, it takes strong dispositions in life to do our duties and responsibilities

well. We need coping strategies to be guided. Mr. John Jefferson Sevilla and Mr. Ginaldo
Dagsindal did not fail us in imparting to us “The Mental Health Amidst Pandemic: Condition
and Coping Strategies”. Since everyone is subjected to mental health conditions like stress,
depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions, this topic reminds us to take extra care
of one’s mental health. This tells us to never kept hard feelings because unexpressed feelings
never die. They are buried alive and come forth later in uglier ways (anonymous).

We were also introduced to “Photo Editing and Digital Banner Design Using
GIMP for Instructional Video Development” with Mr. Lorenz Villaflor and “Digital
Illustrations Using Krita for Book Illustrations and for Instructional Video Development” with
Mr. Arvin Barles. These ended our today’s in-service training.

What technology has to offer sometimes scares, but at the same time amazes me. I
am scared of the harm it can give us if not use properly, but I know with safety measures we
can do great with the help of it. I believe that “To keep up with the future of technology, we
must all be willing to change our old mindset into an open one towards innovation”
