3.4 UNIT ASSIGNMENT SMARTT

Walmart is good for America since the individual has enabled various changes, such as

the power balance in the global economy from the manufacturers to the world retailers. The cost

of the dollar has been minimized hence being advantageous for the poor since they can stretch

easily to attain it. Walmart must preserve American jobs. This is since he is the cause of the loss

of employment. Walmart is doing good by ensuring the prices are low for consumers, but it will

not favor the workers due to reduced salaries to cater to the reduced costs to consumers.

I will vote to agree for other employees to be sent to India since the company will be

making profits, i.e., in India, they charge a fraction of what it costs to do a design in the United

States. The company has an obligation since the domestic workers are skilled more, and some

tend to be old; hence finding jobs won't be that easy. If the domestic employees are moved to

India, most experienced workers would be lost, leading to lower output in the organization.

I would defend the organization when it comes to employing young children at some of

the plants since some of the factories visited had younger women aged 16-22 as most workers.

The working conditions need to be adjusted and the wages paid to the workers. If no changes are

made to working, I won't continue working for the factory. This is risky to any staff member

working in the factory, for instance, health.

From an ethical perspective, I would support the act of giving bribery since that is how

Romans operate in aiding to speed up opening stores (Beyond Integrity, n.d.). We should make

decisions entailing what is wrong and right based on the cultural practices of others, even when

they are distinct from our own. The payment I would refer to it as a gift since they act as

compensation for staff members for the government whose payment is inadequate in Rome.

I support Starbucks' fair trade coffee effort since they are purchased directly from the

farmers; hence profit made by middlemen has been minimized. Victor Claar views fair trade as it

does not address that reality of fundamental. I would buy fair-trade coffee since the coffee is

grown in earth-farming and sustainable practices of farming. Disney executives never made the

right decision in removing the soup from its menu since this was a traditional culture of Chinese

individuals. If I were a Disney executive, I would include the soup to ensure their Chinese

traditional is preserved.
