Cheiron Oakenhoof

Centaurs:
Centaurs are half man half horse beasts, there upper body is human and from down there waist they
are horse. Centaurs live in tribes. They roam in the elven forest Anu Ciuda and the plains surrounding
it. Warriors, hunters and gatherers by nature. They are protectors of the wilderness and all the nature
that’s in it. Because of the years living side by side with the elves, centaurs have become the first wall
of defensive against every force who wants to enter Anu Ciuda. Even that they have a wooden forest
stronghold called Allerian. The tribes prefer to sleep under the stars or in cover of trees. Allerian is
mostly only for the warriors and used in time of war or for worshipping and have feasts for there
nature spirits. Centaurs are often seen in cities and civilization, they prefer to stay in their own tribes
and forest. After the fifteen years centaur war were every tribe was fighting against each other. There
were only five main tribes left that made peace with each other. They are named Biloxi, Deadose, Elk
Sioux, Innu Haida, Quapaw. Every five years there are the Pholos Trails. Named after one of the
greatest centaurs that ever lived. The Pholos Trails decide who’s going to be Centaur Chieftain of the
five tribes. And determine what the course will be of the Centaurs.

The first years.

Born sixty-eight years after the fifteen years centaur war Cheiron was born in a peaceful time. He
grew up inside a lovely family that belonged to the Elk Sioux tribe. Cheiron always had a good bond
with his parents, siblings and tribe. His first ten years were easy as almost every first ten years of a
centaurs life. They get nursed by the tribe, can play around most of the day, get to learn the ways of
the tribes, just being a happy little centaur. He made friends, found his first love Astina. And that’s a
special moment in a centaurs life. Because they can only loose there heart ones a lifetime. And when
that happens they are life bound to each other and will love each other forever. So until he reached
his tenth life year Cheiron had it good. But as every centaur most do when they reach there tenth life
year Cheiron had to do the Nessos Trails. The Nessos Trails are trails made by the nature spirits and
they are there that day to watch you. The trails determine if you’re going to be trained as a hunter,
gatherer or warrior for the next six years until you become a adult. Hunters and gatherers normally
stay at there tribes and learn it from there own kin. So they can provide there new generation tribe
members of food and tools. But the warriors way is a lot harder they will leave there tribe to go to
Allerian to get one of the hardest training there is. After doing the Nessos Trails the nature spirits
choose the warrior path for Cheiron. He now had five days to say his tribe and his lifetime love
goodbye and get ready for his journey to Allerian.

The road to Allerian.

The one’s that are chosen to follow the warriors path are lead to Allerian by the nature spirit that
chose that path for him. It’s to first training of the warrior path. The spirit will not talk or anything to
the centaur. So that he will forget the warmth and loving of his tribe in the days traveling to Allerian.
After six days traveling Cheiron stopped on a little hill. There it was the mountain of a tree stronghold
with on top five trees surrounding a big fire. The five trees representing the five main tribes pointing
towards the direction of where the tribes roam around there land. Never did had he seen such a
beautiful construct. He heard the stories of the adult members of his tribe that went here to feast for
the nature spirits. But those 0stories were nothing compare seeing it in real life. As riding closer the
spirit that let him here stopped and pointed to a big door beneath his tribes tree. As Cheiron walked
further he saw centaurs training everywhere. He saw them all train with spears, bows and big axes
and switch between them like it was nothing. After coming closer to the big door he really realized
how big this stronghold was. With his five layers with balconies here and there with big ballista’s on it.
The big double door opened when he was almost there. Two centaurs riding out and holding the door
open for him. Cheiron thought he recognized one of them that left seven years ago after his Nessos
Trails. When walking through the big door in to Allerian he entered a massive room with a high
ceiling. The room looked like it was as big has the mountain tree itself. With in the middle a big
balcony hanging from the roof with five flags hanging each to a tribes door. You could see that this
room was splitted in to five sections each section for every tribe. In every section you could find food,
weapons, shields, armor. And every where centaurs doing there thing drinking, eating, cleaning there
weapons and everything what a warrior needs to do that be ready for war any time. Every section
had a big wooden staircase to the next floor. At the wall you could staircases going to the first floor
balconies. And at the big balcony he could see the centaur chieftain standing watching over his army.
Beneath it there was a big round table with five centaurs around it with a big helmed with hair across
it on. Every one of them had a different color representing there own tribes. That were the general of
every tribe arguing about what to do with there forces. After a couple of meter riding in the main hall
Cheiron got halted. There was a big centaur standing before him with no armor only big scares across
his chest. “So you’re the new meat the spirits brought to us. Well well let us get started then” he said
laughing.

The warriors path.

The big centaur introduced himself as Darrian head chief of training. “After such a long travel you will
be tired and hungry I geuss here have some food and get warm.” Darrian said with a smile on his face.
He gave Cheiron some food and let him warm up. When Cheiron finished his food and was
comfortable again Darrian stood up. His smile turned in to a grumpy face and lead Cheiron outside.
Darrian rided towards the edge of the surrounding forest with Cheiron following him. When they
arrived at the edge there was a little campfire with other young centaurs. “Here is your place newbie!
Now that you’ve tasted how nice it is in Allerian you have to earn your place inside there. When you
have completed your training and reached adulthood then you may enter that big door again or
never again!” said Darrian with a filthy smile on his face again and rode of back to Allerian. The
upcoming six years where just full of training with the weapons of a warrior, surviving outside alone
without any shelter, learning every plant there was in that forest and every enemy walking around. So
they could become one of the finest
warriors and protectors of the forest
anybody has seen. In those six years
he wouldn’t have any contact with
his tribe or his family none. The
fourth year of there training they
almost spend a complete year in the
wilderness just on there own. After
all the training and surviving those
six years Cheiron finally came close
to his sixteenth life year. And it was
time for the last test every warrior
had to complete to become a true
centaur warrior. The day morning he
turned to his sixteenth life year
Darrian road up to Cheiron. “ It’s
finally time young Cheiron. I can still
remember the day you walked
through those doors. And that smile
on your face when you got that
food. Hahaha you’ve grown to
become one of the best newbies we
ever had Cheiron. Now make your
tribe and me proud.” Darrian lead
Cheiron deep in to the forest to a open spot. Cheiron was looking around and couldn’t figure out
what the meaning of this was. “Well get ready little boy” said Darrian with a smile on face and blew
on his horn. There out of the forest where horse hoofs clingin closer and closer. Cheiron didn’t know
what it would be maybe his family he even thought for a quick second. But that thought was smashed
out of his head quickly when he got rushed by a unicorn. So this was the final test survive a unicorn.
After a long battle and wrestling with the unicorn Cheiron collapsed. He tried everything he could bt
he couldn’t beat the unicorn it was just to fast and to strong. While laying on the ground the unicorn
approached. Cheirons life was rushing by n his head. The unicorn stopped before Cheiron bowed to
him and touched him with horn. The unicorn pranced and road of back in to the wilderness as quick
as he came. The last thing Cheiron heard before blacking out was the jolly laughter of Darrian. When
waking up, Cheiron saw his family standing around him. And Darrian approaching him with the words
“You did boy!!”.
