Love is not a thing to understand.

These poems had been written by Eileen Tupaz.

Love is not a thing to feel.
Love is not a thing to give and receive.
Love is a thing only to become  Odd - Even Poem The Skip Count Song
And eternally be. (Tune: Skip to my Lou)
- Sri Chinmoy (1) Zero, two, four, six, eight Skip count, skip count, count by 2's
Being even is just great. Skip count, skip count, count by 2's
I love all beauteous things Skip count, skip count, count by 2's

Being odd is just fine. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10,12,14,16, 18, 20 (chant this line)
I love all beauteous things,
I seek and adore them;  Zero the hero came to school. Skip count, skip count, count by 5's
God hath no better praise,  Zero the hero knows a rule: Skip count, skip count, count by 5's
And man in his hasty days  Zero the hero stays in a space, Skip count, skip count, count by 5's
Is honoured for them. So all the other numbers get in the right place! We can count to 50.
We sing a song to the tune of "Frere Jacques": 5, 10, 15, 20, (up to 50)
I too will something make Zero Hero, Zero Hero,
And joy in the making!  We love you. Skip count, skip count, count by 10's
Altho' tomorrow it seem'  We love you. Skip count, skip count, count by 10's
Like the empty words of a dream Though you may be nothing, Skip count, skip count, count by 10's
Remembered, on waking. We really think you're something. We can count to 100.
Yes, we do.  Yes, we do. 10, 20, 30, 40, (up to 100)
Love and Friendship a poem by Emily Bronte
CLOCK  SONG Shelby Star is my name
Love is like the wild rose-briar,  (tune Wheels on the Bus) Shining brightly is my game
Friendship like the holly-tree—  The hands on the clock go round and round, With five sparkly points and lots of sides, too
The holly is dark when the rose-briar blooms  Round and round, round and round. With wishes I make dreams come true.
But which will bloom most constantly?  The hands on the clock go round and round.
To tell us the time. I am Cindi Circle
The wild-rose briar is sweet in the spring,  Watch me turn
Its summer blossoms scent the air;  The short hand on the clock Round and round
Yet wait till winter comes again  Goes from number to number, And you will learn
And who will call the wild-briar fair?  Number to number, number to number. I'm not straight and
The short hand on the clock I don't bend
Then scorn the silly rose-wreath now  Goes from number to number. My outside edges
And deck thee with the holly's sheen,  To tell us the time. Never end!
That when December blights thy brow
He may still leave thy garland green.  The long hand on the clock Sammy Square is my name
Goes around by fives, My four sides are just the same
Around by fives, around by fives. Turn me around, I don't care
Heart, we will forget him The long hand on the clock I'm always the same, I'm a square!
poem by Emily Dickinson Goes around by fives.
To tell us the minutes. I am Danny Diamond
Heart, we will forget him, I am like a kite
You and I, tonight! But I'm really just a square
You must forget the warmth he gave, Whose corners are pulled tight
I will forget the light.

Number One Teacher
  Number Poem
Down you run and 1 is done. (Name of teacher),
I'm happy that you're my teacher;
Around, and down, and out go you, I enjoy each lesson you teach.
That's the way to make a 2. As my role model you inspire me
Around, and around, like a bee, To dream and to work and to reach.
That's the way to make a 3. With your kindness you get my attention;
Every day you are planting a seed
Down, across, and down once more, Of curiosity and motivation
That's the way to make a 4.
To know and to grow and succeed.
Short neck, belly fat, You help me fulfill my potential;
Number 5 wears a hat. I'm thankful for all that you've done.
I admire you each day, and I just want to
Down, around, in a circle you go,
That's a six, just as you know. say,
As a teacher, you're number one!
Straight across, slide down from heaven, By Joanna Fuchs
