6. Penalty Structure:
a) Some unfair/inappropriate activities have been identified as Dark Violations. The Dark
Violations will get penalties that are decided by the Placement Office on a case-to-case
basis depending on the severity of the violation. The penalty will result in suspension from
placement-related activities for certain duration. The matter may be also referred to the
Institute for further disciplinary action.
b) The penalty points of a student get carried forward even after a disciplinary action has been
imposed. The following are the disciplinary actions that the student will have to face:
• 10 penalty points: The student will be debarred from selection in the next company
for which he/she polls“yes”.
• 20 penalty point: The student will be debarred from selection in the next 3
companies for which he/she polls“yes”.
• 30 penalty points: The student will be debarred from selection in the next 5
companies for which he/she polls“yes”.
• 35 penalty points: The student will be debarred from the placement process. The
matter may also be referred to the institute for further disciplinary action.
6 Not taking permission from the placement office before off- 5 penalty points
campus application.
7 Not turning up for selection procedure (after polling “yes”) 10 penalty points

14 Not informing Placement Office about the off-campus offer Debarred from
placements
Declaration:
I declare that the details furnished in the resume or in any communication with the Placement
Office, are true and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief. In case any of the
information provided by me is found to be false, untrue, misleading or misrepresenting, I am
aware that I shall be held liable for it. The Institute or Placement Office will not be responsible in
such cases.
If there is any dispute or controversy between me (the student) and the Placement Office arising
out of or relating to this Policy, I agree that the decision of the Placement Office shall be final
and binding.
