4. Guidelines
a. In case any student is found to be sharing the institute's placement information with
an external agency or reaching out to the recruiters independently (connecting with
them over different platforms before or after the placement outcome), they shall be
suspended from further participation in the placement process. In addition, the
institute would also have the right to withhold their placement offer.

5. Application Process Guidelines

a. The institute would provide information about an opportunity to students, post
which the students would be able to decide and initiate the application process
through the central information system/google forms.
i. Note: The information pertaining to an opportunity solely depends upon the
recruiting company. The institute will seek to obtain as much information as
possible in case it's not explicitly mentioned in the JD either before or during
the pre-placement talk.
b. The students will have an opportunity to apply for any and as many companies which
align with their career aspirations until they have an offer and will also have access
to ‘dream shots’ even after they have accepted an offer.
c. There are 2 steps in the campus recruitment process: Application and Shortlisting
i. Application: This allows students to apply to a company that visits the
institute for placements
1. The right of applying to any company stays with the student
2. If the student has applied to a company, he/she is expected to see it
through
ii. Shortlisting: This allows the companies to shortlist candidates from the
applications submitted.
1. It is solely the organisation’s prerogative to shortlist or reject a
candidature
2. No justification or feedback may be given by the company for
shortlisting or rejection
d. In case a visiting company does not provide JD as requested by the institute in the
prescribed format:
i. The right of applying to any company stays with the student
ii. A student cannot withdraw his/her candidature post the interview.
6. Offer Acceptance Guidelines
a. The student will be considered to be out of the placement process in ANY of the
following scenarios:
i. Scenario A: A PPO accepted by the student
ii. Scenario B: An off-campus offer accepted by the student
iii. Scenario C: One on-campus offer is made to the student
b. Please note that if you get placed off campus you must fill this google form - Link
c. Note: Any student having a PPO or an off-campus offer is obligated to inform the CS
team in time. Non-disclosure of the same can result in a penalty. (L4)
d. Timelines for acceptance or rejection of offers will be stipulated by the company
making the offer. Corresponding information shall be shared by the CS Team or
PlaCom.
e. DREAM SHOT: A student can make as many dream shots (applicable to categories A,
B and C under 3.1) till the time a dream offer has been made.
i. Dream Shot: An opportunity will qualify as a dream shot in ANY of the
following scenarios:
1. A company offering 2 times the compensation offered by the
previous company from which the offer has been made/accepted.
2. A candidate is specifically shortlisted and solicited by a company for
a niche or specific role
ii. Qualifier: The dream shot criteria is applicable when a student has accepted
an offer
f. In case a PPO is accepted and asked to report immediately, the student can discuss
the same with Career Services and inform the company accordingly.
