for participation and students are expected to comply with this decision.

 Lead Generation for New Companies.

 Assisting in Corporate Communication.
 Managing Internship and Placement Drives.
 Assisting in Soft Skills Development of Students.
 Assisting in Conducting Mock Placement Drives.
 Assisting in Maintaining Alumnae Database.

D. Student Development Program

1. The institute may require students to attend mentoring & other personality
development programs before appearing in drives to ensure better performance.
The personality development sessions would help students improve their
communication and presentation skills. It is mandatory for all students who are
looking for campus placements to attend the sessions. Those not attending may
not be allowed for further drives. However, the Industry Interaction Cell would
present such cases to the Dean, WISDOM before taking action.
2. A student development program will be conducted which mandates the
participation of all the students. Students failing to abide by the minimum 70%
attendance norms of the development program may not be allowed for further
drives. Before commencement of the drive, company specific knowledge and
brief subject domain knowledge will also be imparted to the students.
3. Mock Drives: Institute may take a screening round comprising aptitude test or
interviews etc. prior to the company process. Some of the sessions that are
declared compulsory to attend must be attended by all else, it would be treated
as indiscipline.

D. One Student One Placement Policy:

If a student gets On-campus offer from any company, then the student will not be
allowed to appear for any other placement drive with exceptions as mentioned below:
i. The opportunities will be given to the students who have got placement through
off- campus hiring process.
ii. It is desirable to follow one person one placement policy, however, to provide one
more chance to students for higher package profiles, the changes incorporated
are as under:

Students who receive job offers with a package of less than Rs. 6.50 Lakhs Per
Annum (LPA) will have the option to explore additional opportunities. These
students will be allowed to participate in the recruitment processes of companies
offering a package of Rs. 6.5 LPA or more.

Thus, while one person, one placement offers stay intact, but one more placement offer
aggregating not more than two in any case would be allowed.

Note: In exceptional cases, where the recruitment number by the company is less
and our relationship with the company is at stake, in that case the above
conditions will not be applicable, and we will inform students well in advance in
these cases.
E. Entrepreneurship/Incubation Facility:

Banasthali Vidyapith encourages its students to pursue Entrepreneurship as a career.

To achieve this, elective courses are offered across the departments that include
entrepreneurship, design thinking, social entrepreneurship etc. Further, the Vidyapith
through entrepreneurship cell orients the students towards entrepreneurship. The
Vidyapith also has Atal Incubation Centre supported by NITI Aayog, Government of India
that has supported several women led startups.

The university offers provision for students to earn credits for working on innovative
prototypes/Startups in lieu of their internships in the 3rd Semester. The students can use
their internship period to work on their startup ideas. The student post proper review and
approval from the Head of the department must work closely under the mentorship of the
inhouse Atal Incubation Centre. The student will be subject to periodic reviews and will
be asked to discontinue her work at any given point of time if the AIC or the department
sees indiscipline, no progress in the work or lack of commitment by the student.

If any student wants to pursue working on their startups during any semester other than
the 3rd semester, they may be able to do so only upon the decision of the review
committee. To promote exceptionally promising startups by students in their continuing
years, the Vice Chancellor on recommendation of AIC and the HoD/ Dean may allow
relaxation.

The students who are working on their startups in the last year of their UG/PG programs
and are not sitting for placements, can sit for placements in the following year on an
exception basis. The student will only be allowed to sit for placements in the following
year based on the decision of the review committee and recommendation of AIC.
F. INTERNSHIP POLICY:

1. Objectives of internship project:

The purpose of the internship program is to impart industrial exposure to the

students that facilitates an opportunity for smooth transition from academic world to
organizational setup.

2. Internship duration

At the Department of Commerce and Management, students of MBA undertake

semester project. The duration of the internship program is typically about one
semester extending up to about 20-24 weeks during MBA III Semester. All students
have to mandatorily complete one semester project training towards partial
fulfillment of their degree requirement.

3. Allocation of internship organization

Placement cell would announce a list of organizations/facilitate summer internship

drives and the students shall be asked to give their preference as to which
company/organization they want the institution to recommend their name. If they so
desire, they may also opt that they would arrange the project training entirely
through their own efforts.

Once students submit their preferences/get selected, they will normally not be
permitted to make any changes.

4. Internship Process

Step 1: Students will select an organization for internship either with the help of
placement cell or by their own arrangements.

Step 2: Issue of covering letter, reference letter from placement cell office.

Step 3: Commencement of internship.

Step 4: During internship, there will be continuous guidance from faculty mentor.
Also, the students have to regularly brief their progress to their faculty mentor
regarding internship project report.

Step 5: Finalization of report under faculty mentor

Step 6: Reporting at Banasthali Vidyapith

Step 7: Submission of soft copy/hard copy of the reports

Step 8: Viva- voce / Presentation

5. Other instructions

(a) If a student encounters problems obtaining an internship certificate due to

irregularities, poor performance, disciplinary concerns, etc. the placement
committee will determine the appropriate steps which includes not allowing
students to submit their project report upon assessing the validity and
genuineness of the situation.

(b) If an internship is offered through university and student gets PPO, in that case
she has a choice to accept or reject the PPO, in case she accepts PPO she will
be considered placed and therefore cannot participate in further placement
drives. Once the student accepts such PPO, she will be considered placed and
rules of one person one placement will be applicable as per Point D above.

(c) If the student has sourced her own internship and the company offers PPO, the
student will still get opportunity for on- campus placement opportunities.
