Placement Cell

BMCC Placement Cell plays a vital role in grooming the students for their careers. Placement Cell
assists you in shaping your career. It provides training and guidance to all students who are
interested in the campus recruitment process. The placement cell facilitates students to gain
corporate experience by encouraging internship without affecting your regular lectures.

The process of selection by companies emphasizes on the Academic Knowledge, students having
high CGPA with no active backlog has a better chance of being called for the interview process.
Further students with both Soft Skills and Technical Skills do get an advantage during the
recruitment process. The Placement Cell conducts Webinars, Workshops to groom students on
various topics to make you Industry Ready. Placement Cell gives due importance to emphasise on
the development and nourishment of the soft skills within the students. Our activities like
organising various informative and webinars, innovative Workshops etc, are mainly intended to
make the theoretically nurtured students to practically groomed.
Internship Opportunities are offered to get work experience in different Profiles of your choice and
to acquaint yourself with the practical knowledge in the corporate environment.

Students are allowed to apply for any Job of their choice and face the interview process. There are
various Job Opportunities for various portfolios by many renowned Companies, which are made
available by the Placement Cell to the students. They can apply for such Job as per their interests.
They are interviewed by the Companies and shortlisted / placed after going through their
recruitment process, purely on their merit and performance. That is the beginning of their career.
Hence the Placement Cell always expect the students to be more focused and integrated for their
bright careers.
For the smooth functioning of the placement cell, students are requested to strictly follow few rules
and instructions with a professional attitude.

A) Grooming Sessions –

1) Currently we are arranging Grooming Sessions for all the registered students. They will be
evaluated by their Attendance, Active Participation and Your Integral Behaviour.

2) Please note those students who remain absent for two consecutive grooming sessions will not be
allowed to attend Interviews conducted by various Companies arranged by the Placement Cell.
3) Placement Cell invites Industry Experts for you. During such sessions the students must maintain
the discipline and decency. Your professional attitude during the session will certainly impress the
speakers and will create Good Impression about the college.

4) For any misconduct or misbehaviour, causing any embarrassment during the On-going Session,
will be observed and the concerned students will be terminated from the Placement Group.

We therefore request all the students to present themselves with utmost sincerity and dignity so as
to avoid any disciplinary action against your candidature as an interviewee.
B) Selection and the rules for Internship & Final Placement-

1. The students registering for any process have to appear for interviews arranged by the Placement
Cell. If they are selected, then they should join the Company and complete their Internship Period /
continue to work there either for minimum period of ONE year or as per that Company’s Policy.

2. Please note that, a strict action will be taken against those students who will simply appear for the
interviews to gain experience, and dishonour the offers made by the interviewing Companies.
Please note that such acts will directly affect the standards of the BMCC in the corporate world.

3. Please read the JD messages for any process very carefully. Please register yourself only after
your complete satisfaction about the nature of the job / Internship Profiles, Salary/Stipend, about
any other instructions or conditions, place of work and your own willingness to accept the offer etc.
In case of any difficulties in accepting the offer, it is advised NOT to register. It will surely save the
time and efforts of Companies, Placement Cell and the students.

4. While working at Companies in the Internship / Job, students must have decent and professional
behaviour. If any misbehaviour is observed, then Placement Cell will take strict action against that
student and concerned students will be terminated from the Placement Group. Please note that
such acts will directly affect the standards of the BMCC in the corporate world.

Internship -

1. Your lectures should not be affected due to Internship. Students should not give reasons of
Internships for their absentee from regular College lectures. You can opt for Flexible timing
Internship to attend your lectures.

2. Internship experience is must for you, which you can add value in your Resume. At the time of
Interviews of Final Placements / Jobs, interviewers can ask you about your Internship Experience.
Hence, you must work sincerely work at your internships.

3. If you can manage your Study and Internship simultaneously, the college will have no objection in
your learning and your internship. Moreover, you are allowed to undergo 2 Internship at a time
without compromising your academic performance and health, which will be your decision and the
Placement Cell and the College shall not be responsible in any unfortunate cases arising thereon. It is
advisable to undertake Only One Internship at a time.

4. You should inform your parents about your internship, work timings etc. well in advance. Parents
should not complain later about it.

Final Placement -

1. Only 1 Selection –

Each student will be allowed to participate in the Processes your selection for the first time. Once
student is selected in any Company for final Job Placement through BMCC Placement Cell, then he
/ she will not be allowed to appear in another Company. Hence, you need to be careful while
applying for any Company.

2. If simultaneous processes of different Companies are going on at a time and students are
appearing in more than ONE process, then their First Selection will be considered, and they will not
be allowed to appear for other ongoing processes as well as the forthcoming processes.
3. If you have registered for any company but unable to appear for Interview due to some genuine
pressing emergencies, then first MUST inform Placement Officer – Ms. Nilofar Agnihotri about it
appropriately. Failure to which the student will not be allowed to appear for any other processes.

4. Selected Student in any Company must join that Company and work there for min 1 year or as
per Company’s Policy.

5. All Students are mature enough to take their own decisions. Hence, students must be responsible
while participating in any process, workshop, webinar etc of the placement cell.

6. Students are requested to inform their parents before applying to any Company and register for
that Company with their permission. Because “Parents are not permitting for doing Job / for any
shift / for the location” etc reasons will not be entertained later.

Note –

College Placement Cell will conduct a Test as 2nd step after initial registration and only those
students who will clear that Test will be added in Final Placement Group to apply for placements
through Placement Cell.

Disclaimer –

These rules and instructions can be changed by Management time to time. Changes will be
notified.
