1. Policy for Reporting
DAILY REPORTING
Each student has to maintain the daily reporting log book as per Annexure I(A)
A suitable executive from the organization in which the students are placed will supervise and
mentor on the field. Every student intern is expected to get their log sheet approved and signed
by the on field supervisor.
The hard copies of the log sheets have to be submitted to the respective faculty coordinator by
the intern on or before 24th January 2012, 5.00 p.m.
WEEKLY REPORTING
Twelve in house faculty coordinators will be supervising the students. Students will be
connected to the faculty through google groups. The list for the same will be uploaded on the
black board by December 24, 2011.
Student interns have to communicate with their faculty coordinators over the email/telephone
every week and discuss the progress of their projects. Where ever alumni facilitators are
appointed students will be required to report to them also.
In addition to the above students have to fill up an online form whose links are provided below.
Students are requested to fill up the online form every Saturday. The information should reach
the respective faculty coordinator by Saturday 11.00 p.m. Please note the links are separate for
each week.
The hard copies of the weekly report signed by the metor have to be submitted to the respective
faculty coordinator by the intern on or before 24th January 2012, 5.00 p.m.

The We Care Team will process the reports and send it to the Dean and VC‟s office on every
Week.
Sanction
It would be interpreted that the student was absent on the said day if:
If the student interns do not take the signature of their on-field mentors on their daily log sheet
If students do not submit the weekly reports online, within said deadlines specified by the We
Care Team, from time to time.

2. Policy for Re-Alignment of Roles
Application
If the project assigned does not match the interest area of student intern and he /she wants to change the
same they are requested to discuss this with their organizational mentor and keep the faculty coordinator
informed about the same.
Sanction
Any attempt on the part of the Interns to change their projects without adhering to the process
laid down will result in strict action by the institute.
Application
The student interns have to report to their respective organisations on the time specified by the
respective organisations. In case of repeated late coming of the students to the organisation, the on field
mentors would take this matter up with the We Care Team. The students should continue working with
the organisation after the specified time duration if required for his/her project objectives.
The students are expected to serve at least 6 hours a day on field or as specified by the organizations in
which the students are placed. In case the student is unable to serve the expected number of hours due to
emergency situation, he has to inform the on field mentor and the We Care Team, about the same.
He/she has to seek written approval from his on field mentor and produce it to the We Care Team with
supporting documents, e.g. Medical Certificates, Reports, and Bills etc. The student has to produce the
same documents to his/her respective organisation mentor
Purpose
As the flagship program of We Care Team and the face of NMIMS, it is expected out of students that
they reflect and keep up the reputation of the institute when they go to their respective organisations.
Sanction
Strict actions will be taken against the student interns by the We Care Team. The issue will be escalated
to the VC or the Dean of NMIMS University. It may also lead to the We Care Internship to be deemed
as “Non- Satisfactory”.
Evaluation will be carried out by the mentor appointed by the organisation in which the student is placed
& the faculty coordinator.

b. Timely submission of the following to the Mentor and the We Care Team
1. Daily Log Book
2. Weekly Progress report
3. Final report
c. Evaluation format duly filled in by the Mentor certifying the performance of the
candidate “Satisfactory”. ( See Annexure I C)
d. Evaluation format duly filled in by the faculty coordinator deeming the performance of
the candidate “Satisfactory”.
e. All of the above evaluations should be „Satisfactory‟ for qualifying the Project to be
„Satisfactory‟ and „Accepted‟.
Sanction
In case the student does not fulfill all the conditions mentioned above, the “We Care” Winter Internship
will need to be repeated. The decision of the Dean, SBM will be final in this regard.
Application
Organisations have some confidential information which they might have to share with the student
interns for professional reasons. The information and the trust of the Organisations have to be
maintained, and thus no information should be shared with any external parties, without the
Organisation‟s prior permission.
Purpose
The aim is to maintain the trust and confidentiality of information provided by the organisations to the
student interns.
Sanction
Non compliance to this rule will result in strict action being taken against the student intern. The matter
will be escalated to the Dean, School of Business Management (SBM) or Vice Chancellor (VC),
SVKM‟s NMIMS .
Application
It is mandatory for all student interns to produce the Completion Certificate from their respective
organisations. The responsibility of ensuring the issuance of Completion Certificate by the organisation
where the student intern is placed rests solely with the Interns. The School of Business Management will
have no part to play in this regard.
However, students have to request the respective organisations for the same on due completion of the
project. Non–issuance will lead to the internship being deemed as Non Satisfactory.

7. Policy for Attendance
Purpose
The purpose of a mandatory 100% attendance is to make the interns accountable to their projects and
instill a discipline. Moreover, it also prevents maligning of the reputation of the institute due to a few
miscreants.
Sanction
Failure to adhere to the minimum attendance requirement will lead to strict action by the institute
including debarment from promotion to next year.
Application
Interns are entitled to the official holidays as declared by the concerned organisation.
The student will have to compensate the loss of days of field work due to emergency/sickness by
interning with the Center for Sustainability Management & Social Entrepreneurship, NMIMS
In case of any grievances with the organisation during the project, the concerned interns are
required to report the same to the following authorities in the below mentioned sequence:
