STUDENT ACADEMIC ETHICS AND REGULATIONS – CIM AT

CAMBRIDGE COLLEGE

 Extra Classes & Tutor Feedback: Kindly note that extra classes may be held on mercantile holidays as per the
discretion of the tutor and class dates may change based on the module as well as lecturer availability. Students
will be eligible for study materials & appointments for individual feedback on Assignments upon payments made
infull. Students are required to inform the Program Manager on any change in email address, telephone numbers,
in writing or via e mail. Most notifications to students will be via e mail and respective the WhatsApp Group for
the class.

 Payments & Refunds: Please note that course fees once paid is non-refundable and non- transferable to a third
party. Additional fees may apply for any value-added services offered. Subject transfers will be allowed only
within 10 days from the date of registration and a credit note must be obtained from the office. Kindly be
informed that you are not allowed to change the session after the aforementioned time period, however if you
still wish to change the session or are unable to submit assignments you are required to re-register for the new
session with the applicable course fee at the time of re-registration. Credit notes will be valid for the next
immediate session.

 Deferrals: Kindly note that if you wish to defer your assessment subject to CIM’s deferral rules, the duly filled
deferral form would require to be submitted 48 hours prior to the UK deadline. A deferral processing fee of Rs.
2000 per subject will apply and after it has been approved by CCBM based on the guidelines of CIM.

 Assignment Submissions: Assignment Submission guidelines will be notified a month prior to the submission
deadline and a submission fee of Rs. 2500 per subject will apply. You are required to obtain a plagiarism report
from ‘Turnitin’ when submitting assignments according to the ‘CIM Turnitin’ policy and the similarity index will be
required to be below 35% to be approved to be submitted to CIM UK. The ‘Turn it in’ report should be obtained
exclusively from CIM UK and students MUST AVOID obtaining a Turn it in report from other providers as this may
contribute to a high similarity score. A Turnitin report will be provided within 3 days of submitting to CCBM;
hence please avoid submitting your work at the last moment as you may not receive the report before the
submission deadline. Please note a nominal fee of Rs. 600 will be charged per ‘Turn it in’ report. Candidates are
advice to submit their work well in advance to the Calibrand portal to avoid the last-minute rush. The Applied
Marketing module in Level 4 is an online proctored multiple-choice exam and students are required to pay
examiners proctoring fee of 45 GBP to CIM UK for this module to book an examiner from UK. The exam can be
done at a place of your choice with a stable internet connection. Digital Badges, Certificates and transcripts (soft
copies) are provided by CIM UK whilst students may request for hard copies at an additional fee

 Professional Conduct: Students are required to conduct themselves in a professional manner when dealing with
their peers, lecturers and administrative staff during the tenure of their studies at CCBM. The use of profanity and
any abusive and disrespectful language and actions will not be tolerated and result in the expulsion from the
course with no refunds or qualification been granted. Students cannot violate the privacy in the CCBM WhatsApp
groups and using numbers in the WhatsApp group without the permission of CCBM is completely prohibited.
 What we provide as an ASC: Online live sessions & webinars. Sessions are recorded for study later and revision.
However, students are advised to participate in live sessions to get the best out of the lecture. Students may join
in and stay on after the sessions for clarifications. Google classroom access will be provided with study materials
such as lecture slides, lecture recordings, the current sessions assignment, examiner reports and recommended e
Books, promoting engagement among student with the use of WhatsApp groups & one to one feedback sessions
to be appointed with the relevant lecturer.

 What we expect from the student


o Attendance at a live session is mandatory, unless there is an unavoidable reason why you can't attend. In
which case you must inform CCBM by email before that session. Any non-attendance will be considered
as a factor when deciding if your submitted assignment is your own work. Assessment criteria’s will be
discussed via online zoom sessions with the tutor. Tutors will initially take the students through the
themes of the assignment while having a thorough discussion on each theme.
o Students will be required to select a theme and a company in consultation with the respective tutor. It is
mandatory to obtain feedback for your assignment from the respective tutor in order to submit your
work. You are eligible for a minimum of 2 'One to One' feedback session with your tutor which can be
administered face to face or online.
o The first feedback session must be completed at least 1 week before the submission date. Students are
encouraged to finish all tasks and send their work to the tutor for feedback well in advance, together with
a 'Turnitin' report obtained from exclusively from CIM UK.
o The ‘Turn it in’ report should be obtained exclusively from CIM UK and students must avoid obtaining a
Turn it in report from other providers as this may contribute to a high similarity score. A nominal ‘Turn it
in’ Processing fee will be applied for each report generated.
o Students are required to submit their own work. Outsourcing assignments, plagiarism and collusion are a
violation of the academic guidelines and tutors will be compelled to reject your final submission if there is
not enough evidence to verify it is your own work.
o It would also be recommended to obtain feedback after the completion of each task (unless advised by
your tutor) in order to be able to do the necessary changes and submit your work on time.
 Task 1 - Approximately within a month can be completed and checked for feedback.
 Task 2 - On completion of task 1, in about 2 months Task 2 to be completed and checked
for feedback
 Task 3 - On completion of task 2, in about another 2 months task 3 to be completed and
checked for feedback
 Final feedback on completion of all tasks + ‘Turnitin report’ on the final submission
month.
o As per the guidelines by CIM, CCBM will be compelled to decline the acceptance of assessments of
students submitting their work without comprehensive feedback.
